MOVING THE BODY CAN CLEANSE THE BODY

Key Role of Moving Meditations

Moving the body plays a key role in cleansing our bodies of garbage and scraps. It should not be used only when there is a problem with weight or to just build muscle mass. It should also be used to clear the mind, gain clarity, awareness and understanding. It is a perfect time to be alone with your thoughts so you can pray while involving yourself in an activity that you thoroughly enjoy. Moving your body should be effortless, exhilarating and meditative.

Any lack of movement will allow pollutants to build up in the body which can destroy our internal balancing act. Physical activity means the body has to move as well as the mind. This is exactly why our muscles are attached to the bones. Muscles move bones and bones move joints. Our body chemistry changes when it is in motion. This includes our brain chemistry.

Moving the body stimulates growth, support, preservation and maintenance of the brain, healthy bone tissue, endurance, muscle mass, and strength. It helps to excrete toxins and restore balance in many of your body systems. These body systems include:

  • Cardiovascular System
  • Respiratory System
  • Lymphatic System
  • Nervous System
  • Digestive System
  • Reproductive System
  • Circulatory System
  • Urinary System
  • Endocrine System
  • Integumentary System (Skin, hair, and nails)
  • Muscular System
  • Skeletal System
  • Vascular System

When we move, it is a powerful tool that can be used to detoxify the body and to improve and maintain your good health.

IN FACT -

Studies show that movement demonstrates an improvement in our mental health:

  • it improves self-confidence and self-image
  • decreases anger, hostility, fatigue, laziness, nervousness and anxiety
  • the perceptions of stress are reduced
  • our moods are elevated with the release of endorphins
  • mental abilities, learning potential, memory and cognitive skills are all improved with increased oxygen levels

On a physical level, movement:

  • aids in weight reduction programs
  • improves the bone structure and support for the body
  • it accelerates the removal of toxins and waste material from your cells
  • aids in the maintenance of appropriate blood-sugar levels
  • lymph circulation is increased
  • helps lower blood pressure
  • helps prevent heart attacks
  • increases body temperature
  • blood flow is increased that carries nutrients and oxygen to every cell
  • the duration of an allergic reaction can be shortened
  • lung power is restored, as well as, endurance and strength
  • increases muscle flexibility and strength
  • it can reverse adult-onset diabetes
  • prevents the formation of gallstones by increasing the solubility of cholesterol in bile
  • increases levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDL), the good cholesterol

Whenever the body is in excessive or prolonged movement:

  • Find a comfortable moving meditation that makes you feel good, so you can connect with God and listen without being interrupted.
  • Wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable. Your clothes and shoes should fit and support your body.
  • Use only equipment that fits your body type.
  • ALWAYS - shower immediately after any type of exercise.
  • Wash your clothes to remove the toxins from your sweat. You certainly don't want to absorb these pollutants.
