MARS SQUARE PLUTO

This aspect is a seat of inner tensions. The tension of the square gives us motivation. Squares are dynamic aspects that give us the drive to succeed. What begins as an inner problem is overcome or accepted, and then becomes a door to understanding.

Mars is busy, hyper and action-oriented. Mars is assertive, aggressive and competitive, while Pluto rules transformation through destruction, only to end up in reconstruction. Pluto is powerful and behaves like plutonium, where it completely destroys only to rebuild anew. Pluto levels one thing to cause something else to rise up out of the ashes, just like the phoenix-rising arises from the ashes. Pluto destructs in order to reconstruct and there is where the transformation takes place.

This is an extremely powerful aspect with the potential to be volatile and downright dangerous. Keep in mind that Pluto is the higher octave of Mars, so when these two are matched up in a square (heavy challenge) then all hell breaks loose. This aspect is not only forceful, it is overly forceful. It's where one's energies are just too much, over-the-top and hard to handle.
