SUN SQUARE URANUS

This aspect is a seat of inner tensions. The tension of the square gives us motivation. Squares are dynamic aspects that give us the drive to succeed. What begins as an inner problem is overcome or accepted, and then becomes a door to understanding.

It is important to understand that the Sun rules the identity, ego, individuality, power and pride, while Uranus is the planet of a sudden change in circumstance, much like a lightning strike. Uranus also represents innovation, invention and independence. It literally strikes out and strikes out on its own, like lightning. Uranus is unconventional and electrifying; thereby bringing about sudden change in an instant, which can show up as being erratic. You can pretty much expect the unexpected when Uranus is involved.

This aspect indicates impulsiveness and determination to be an individual. It makes you fixed on being original and your own unique person. It will cause you to do things your own way and you will dig in your heels if anyone tries to stop you. You have the ability to be a unique and original leader as well since the Sun is involved. You like to do what you want, when you want.

The Sun square Uranus can suddenly swing the pendulum (energy) in the other direction. You could easily wonder, "What was in the news that may have occurred during the night.

This aspect involves 'the generations' since Uranus is involved, which is a generational planet and impacting us personally (the Sun). The Cracker Barrel logo fiasco was a perfect example of an 'identity shift' that ruffled 'the generations' feathers by suddenly changing itself and removing American 'culture' from its logo and stores thereby making the chain 'androgynous' of sorts. That impacts people 'personally' (the Sun). The people hated it!!

Cracker Barrel (Sun) did a great job of taking center stage or being one bad apple, but it sure did not need to look like that.

If you are going to suddenly change and take center stage, then make certain the trend you are following will not have an expiration date that comes and goes so quickly if you are intent on success. Chunky glasses will come and go, but culture, custom and tradition are properties of identity (Sun) to the majority of people (Uranus).

Remember, Uranus naturally rules Aquarius, which rules 'the masses'. At least if you are going to make changes like that, don't do it when the Sun is squaring Uranus.
