SUN SQUARE PLUTO

This aspect is a seat of inner tensions. The tension of the square gives us motivation. Squares are dynamic aspects that give us the drive to succeed. What begins as an inner problem is overcome or accepted, and then becomes a door to understanding.

It is important to understand that the Sun rules the identity, ego, individuality, power and pride, while Pluto rules transformation through destruction, only to end up in reconstruction. Pluto is powerful and behaves like plutonium, where it completely destroys only to rebuild anew. Pluto levels one thing to cause something else to rise up out of the ashes, just like the phoenix-rising arises from the ashes. Pluto destructs in order to reconstruct and there is where the transformation takes place.

This is explosive and unpredictable energy that creates trouble in controlling our emotions. It is powerful, which makes is good for rising to challenges. This aspect teaches how to learn to compromise.

This aspect reveals a tendency for willfulness to build up in our nature. As the pressure become greater, the likelihood is an explosion. This may be puzzling to those around you especially in those who are more self-restrained and in perfect control. Perhaps there is a frustrated ambition for power and authority. This is an aspect often associated with a "revolutionary spirit."

Sun square Pluto typically only considers its ideas, thoughts and input. How could anyone be as right as the Sun square Pluto? But here's the thing, powerful people typically surround themselves with other powerful people. So why not consider the input and contribution of others? There is a lot of ego showing up on set with this aspect. This could easily look like a clash of the egos or should I say, "Clash of the Titans", considering the planets involved?

'Might makes right' will only cause resentment from others and they will just downright dislike you if that's the position you are going to take. Plain and simple, that position will cause dissention in the troops. This aspect has a tendency to be overly aggressive with the opposite sex, which will go over like a lead balloon. Pluto carries a lot of power, like Plutonium, and must be channeled into a more useful explosion, rather than implosion.

Folks, you really have to think about how you control others and how others control you. Surely you are around someone who controls the situation, house or work environment with emotions - pouty, angry, loud, complaining, etc.

An individual can control a setting, meeting or event simply by showing up late. The oh so grand entrance. LOOK AT ME! I'm here! Now we can start or let the party begin.

There are so many ways to control others, whether you are using sex as a weapon or manipulation, or if you are giving or not giving of your talents and skills. Just think about why and how you did the things you do.

Many many years ago, I was with a friend and two (2) others from her family. After running around all day we were famished and stopped in at a restaurant where you had to go up to the counter and order. It was like ordering at a fast food restaurant, but it was not a fast food restaurant. As we looked above at the menu my friend said, "I'll buy!" Then she proceeded to order for all of us. That was my first rub. Don't tell me you are going to buy and then control what I can eat. But, being the nice person that I am (sometimes haha) I let it go.

Next thing I know, my friend is packing up the food and clearing the table. She was finished eating, and her actions said everyone else needs to finish eating.

Folks, I DO NOT like to be told, directed, guided, manipulated or tricked into doing what someone else wants me to do. I mean I DON'T LIKE IT! You see, that touches my Jupiter in Aquarius, THE MOST freedom Loving planet in THE MOST freedom Loving sign. DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO! I am a free person made by God. Leave me the F alone and do what you want with your Life, but don't tell me what to do with mine, including what I can eat and how long I can eat it. I am really like that.

If you tell me what to do, I might be nice and let it go a couple of times (maybe two), but then I will throw wrenches into the cogwheels and push the applecart over. I will rebel or just flatout back away from you and distance myself. I let the food ordering go, but now my bones were scratched about how much time I had to eat.

I of course spoke up and said, "You offer to buy lunch, then decide what I will eat. And now you are telling me I'm finished eating. You are not the boss of me! I'll meet you in the car! She knew me, and I knew her. She laughed, we all laughed, and I kept eating. Maybe I was being the control freak now, but I don't think so. We should always looks at ourselves for mirroring.

Folks, the Sun square Pluto is a control freak. It is very powerful, forceful and influential, as Pluto is naturally ruled by Scorpio. This aspect is manipulation in the most obvious and the most subtle ways. This energy will maneuver and engineer itself into the place it needs to be to control others.
