SUN CONJUNCT URANUS
A conjunction or conjunct symbol is an aspect that emphasizes and brings together the energies of the planets involved. Conjunctions focus and intensify the energy much like a laser beam on an exact point in your chart. These planets have their own uniqueness and when tag-teamed their energy is intensified even more.
It is important to understand that Sun rules the identity, ego, individuality, power and pride. Uranus is the planet of a sudden change in circumstance, much like a lightning strike. Uranus also represents innovation, invention and independence. It literally strikes out and strikes out on its own, like lightning. Uranus is unconventional and electrifying; thereby bringing about sudden change in an instant, which can show up as being erratic. You can pretty much expect the unexpected when Uranus is involved. Uranus is also the higher octave of Mercury.
This aspect literally buzzes with excitement, enthusiasm and energy. Think of the high-powered energy of the Sun with its solar flares and the electrical nature of Uranus, then throw these two in a bowl and mix them together. The Sun naturally rules the sign of Leo, which is THE MOST enthusiastic sign of the zodiac with all its leadership and contagious willful energy. This aspect is what gives dare-devils and big thinkers that extra helping of high-frequency energy where they can think and perform outside of the box. This is the aspect of the rebel, which leadership qualities. It is not the rebellion-hellion misfit. This aspect pioneers, it invents, it innovates and it thinks-up what no one saw coming. This is the quintessential aspect of 'the genius'. Read more in my Astrology Aspects eBook - click the graphic below!
