While the Cancer Moon is certainly about home, family, domestic affairs, the mother and the biological and psychological foundation of the individual's life, let's not forget that the sign of Cancer needs SECURITY! This Full Moon is not only about our emotional security, it is about our financial security. Cancer energy absolutely needs to feel secure or it is left feeling insecure. Nothing is more important to Cancer energy than 'feeling' secure. This is why those who have a Cancer Sun Sign or who have strong Cancer charts or even a South Node Cancer will often have hoarding issues. Either there is a hoarding issue or these individuals have several collections of collectibles.

Cancer holds on tightly to who and what it Loves. Cancer is also the one who will bad-mouth a family member and gossip about a family member much more quickly than anyone else. Certainly Cancer loves and enjoys their family, but they will unload the family secrets on anyone who will listen. Cancer is the martyr of the zodiac, but it is also the domestic goddess/god of the zodiac. Cancer rules our childhood and our biological and psychological foundation (the childhood home). So you see folks, you 'get to' choose how you see your childhood. It's either poor-me-syndrome or it is strength-through-family. Full Moon's have a heavier 'orb of influence' within 3 to 5 days on either side of it occurring, but I like to give it a full 7-day 'orb of influence' to account for your intuition. This Full Moon in Cancer will impact us for the next 6 months and take us up to the next New Moon in Cancer that will occur on July 12, 2018 starting the New Cancer energy cycle all over again. So you see folks, once a month, we get a 'fresh start' and 'new beginning' in each new Sun Sign impacting us in the house the area of our chart that they represent.

Sit back and think about how bright a Full Moon is and how you can literally see in the dark by the Light of a Full Moon. Seriously, don't read any further for a couple of minutes. Just take in the awesomeness of how the Light of the Moon can serve as a flashlight when we are in the dark. The Full Moon is not only a spotlight, it is a beacon. It has a dual purpose. Think about the contrast between Light and dark. Picture these moonbeams shining like a flashlight on a certain area of your Life. It's like seeing a dark stage with a spotlight shining on the performer, which makes the subject or subject matter pretty dang obvious. At the same time it is a beacon that serves as a guiding light.

This Full Moon does have 'a couple of challenges' as we cross-over into the New Year 2018 because there are two lunar oppositions occurring to this Full Moon, which are both testosterone type of energy. Keep in mind the Moon is estrogen and rules the mother. The two oppositions that are occurring are Venus (estrogen) and Saturn (testosterone). Not to mention the Moon opposing the Sun (testosterone) IS THE FULL MOON. So here we have oppositions occurring between both male and female energies all the way around. The sign of Cancer is hyper-sensitive, over-emotional, moody as hell without any help from other planets and takes everything way too personal. Cancer can't help it because the emotions are all laid out there for everyone to see. Cancer wears their emotions on their sleeve. It's just too much and pretty much a guarantee that someone will end up crying before it's all said and done. The Moon naturally rules the sign of Cancer anyway, so it's a double-whammy of emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities. The Sun in Capricorn is not on board with so much emotional and isn't happy about it one bit. Then if you 'choose' to mix alcohol with the Full Moon, then you will get a load of emotions that come out every which way except the way you intended. Oppositions are a challenge on any straight day of the week, much less having alcohol coupled with it.

This Full Moon is also accompanied by the Moon trine Neptune, which will assist you in figuring out why you act and react the way you do, while at the same time you are interested in why others act and react in the way they do.

The saving Grace with this Full Moon is the massive amount of trines that are occurring as well. Download the chart wheel for this Full Moon and you will see the trines in all blue lines. Notice there are four (4) Grand Trines in the water signs overlapping each other connecting Mars and Jupiter in Scorpio to this Moon in Cancer, as well as the Part of Fortune and Neptune in Pisces connecting itself to this Cancer Moon. This makes for an incredibly high degree of intuition that you will be feeling. If only you will channel this energy into intuition and lay the emotions aside. Remember, the Moon naturally rules our emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivites and the Cancer motto is, "I feel therefore I am." It's about your feelings on an intuitive level. If you get all emotional on a personal level instead of feeling on an intuitive level, then you will miss a fabulous opportunity to get to know yourself better.

And if you choose to go into the New Year like a blubbering drunk, then you may be blubbering emotions and crying in your beer. This energy is too wonderful to waste crying in your beer. Stay alert and embrace Life with a clear head.

The real meat of the Full Moon in Cancer. Even though this Full Moon naturally rules the emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities, the gift that it really has is the gift of intuition. While Pisces is THE MOST intuitive sign of the zodiac, Cancer is THE SECOND most intuitive sign of the zodiac. While Pisces THE MOST fearful sign of the zodiac, Cancer is THE SECOND most fearful sign of the zodiac. So you see, these two Sun Signs really feed off each other's intuition and fear. The great thing about this Full Moon is it is occurring during so many wonderful trines and sextiles. Cancer and Pisces are both water signs, which means these two Sun Signs are trine each other and a trine aspect is easy and effortless energy. If you use this Full Moon's gift of intuition and trust your gut, then you will be miles ahead of where you would otherwise be. These emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities are intuition, "I feel therefore I am" but Cancer goes overboard and misses the gift. Cancer gets too wrapped up in their feelings and ends up sitting in emotions and martyrdom. When Cancer energy is channeled inappropriately then it shows up as crazy and emotionally whacked, but that's entirely up to you. My advice is to trust your intuition. Even though there is Pisces energy squaring your sign, this is the perfect time to restrict, limit and become more responsible, simply because you can. You have two bold choices of what type of energy you want to raditate during this Full Moon because all eyes are on the Cancer. You can choose to be Loving, nurturing and family oriented or over-emotional, moody and hyper-sensitive. You could easily make everything about you and take everything very personal or you can direct your nurturing attention to others and ask, "What can I do for you?"
