MOON OPPOSING SATURN
This aspect depicts conflict which, when resolved, results in growth. Oppositions show a tug of war between opposing forces. If they are resolved, then the oppositions become the backbone and strength of the chart.
It is important to understand that the Moon rules the home and the family. It also rules the emotions, feelings, sensitivities and moods, while Saturn rules stability and responsibility. The Moon is emotional, while Saturn is disciplined and cautious.
This aspect can leave one feeling abandoned and neglected by the loved ones. No matter how hard the individual tries, they just cannot seem to feel the warmth and caring that they need. As a young child the individual may have lacked warmth and comfort from a parent figure, probably mother, although it could be the father. The Moon rules the mother figure, while Saturn rules the father figure.
As an adult the individual may attract cold and withdrawn partners. The lesson is to value oneself and to find the love within thereby building one's own sense of self-esteem.
This aspect reveals that a negative attitude, which restricts the individual from being spontaneous and allowing ideas to move freely through the mind. Intellectual responses are somewhat slowed. Even if the person is very bright, the inability to express oneself in other than a prosaic manner often hides real mental abilities. This aspect is more contemplative than conversational, but nonetheless a good listener.
This placement is austere in behavior, which makes having fun something that is hard to do simply because of worrying too much.
This aspect functions well when self-employed or at least having a free hand in deciding what one wants or chooses to do.
There is a lack of emotional flexibility and optimism in dealing with others, wherein there may be a stiff formal manner that can make others uncomfortable.
