The BIG NEWS today is the New Moon in Leo at 23 degrees 17 minutes. There is A LOT going on with this New Moon, so after a brief breakdown of what the New Moon is, I will get to the guts of what this chart holds.

Note the chart wheel is set to the coordinates of New York, NY at the date and time of the New Moon. I have to pick a location, so I choose New York since the majority of people know where New York, NY is located.

The New Moon is when the Moon and the Sun are conjunct, meaning they are in the same sign and same degree. In other words, they are like conjoined twins sitting side by side. A conjunction emphasizes and intensifies the energies of the planets involved.

In this case, the Moon will be in Leo at exactly 23 degrees 17 minutes and the Sun will be in Leo at exactly 23 degrees 17 minutes at 5:38 AM EDT, which you can see on the downloadable chart. So the Moon and the Sun are 'intensified' under this conjunction.

When you look at the guts of what this chart holds you will not only see the Sun and the Moon at 23 degrees 17 minutes 'conjunct' (sitting side by side) but you will also see a solid blue line that reaches out and touches Uranus in Taurus at 23 degrees 00 minutes. Interesting, the Sun, the Moon and Uranus all at 23 degrees. If you rolled your eyeballs over the list of aspects above, then you already know that the Moon squares Uranus. The Sun squared Uranus (exact in degrees 'and minutes') yesterday with the lone gray apple standing out. The degrees AND MINUTES were exactly exact yesterday, which is why that aspect was on yesterday's horoscope and not today. But still, the Sun is at 23 degrees and the Uranus is at 23 degrees today just separated by 17 minutes.

Note above the Uranus trine Pluto Astro Meme I recorded some dates for you. This is a rare aspect that we are catching wind of for a few months. This aspect is NOT exact this year, BUT Uranus and Pluto are within 08 degrees of each other, which makes the aspect in the 'orb of influence'. The reason why it did not show up in the monthly Astro Meme pages is because it is not exactly exact, BUT it's in the 'orb of influence'.

When you look at the guts of what this chart holds you will see Uranus in Taurus at 23 degrees 00 minutes reaches out by way of a solid blue line and touches Pluto in Capricorn. This is a friendly touch. A trine is sublime!

Folks, Uranus trine Pluto is HOPE. I know, I know, you have had more than enough 'hopium' to last you a Lifetime with the sad state of affairs of not only the country you live in, but the political-infection is all over the world, not just here in 'Merica! We are truly in this together.

Uranus trine Pluto is telling you to hang in there as the sole purpose of this aspect is to IMPACT ONE'S SOUL PURPOSE! Get your boots on and put on your hat, it's time for a human stampede. Ya' get me? This aspect impacts a generation because two (2) generational planets are involved. This aspect fights for social change and works to bring that change about. We are talking rebellion-hellion fighting injustices. The cool thing is the North Node is in Aries, which obsesses over injustices, and rightly so because the South Node is currently in Libra (justice).

Come hell or high water, this gathering of people will not let up. The will is strong and they are set on transforming civilization as they know it. The last time this aspect was exactly exact was in the 1920's when women were allowed to vote. Now we are 100 years later in 2020's. Uranus trine Pluto tells that the generations this aspect is impacting will have lived fully seeing and experiencing so much or the generation born under this aspect will have a lot to live through. Either way, it's pretty dang extreme as change will surely occur. This aspect guarantees that fact.

Now listen, I know it's easy to think of the authority figures who are in charge who are reaping havoc on the world and turning all of us against each other will get their way, BUT you have to know and believe that there is a YUGE POPULATION of people out there who will NOT take "no" for an answer. Pluto in Capricorn tells us that these authority figures will fall. They will. It's going to be hell on earth, but it will happen. The people will not take "no" for an answer. Pluto in Capricorn assures us that is the case.

Aquarius is THE MOST freedom-Loving sign of the zodiac and Gemini runs a really tight close second, along with Sagittarius running a tight close second. It is interesting how having a 'motivational carrot' dangling in front of your face will cause you to move a little or a lot. Now what that 'motivational carrot' is remains to be seen. What is it that you need that will cause you to rise to the occasion. Are you a Leo or do you have a strong Leo chart where you are being called into service to lead. Some of you will be 'pressed' into service, meaning you will be pressured, just like Simon of Cyrene, who was pressed into service and plucked right out of the crowd and told to help Jesus carry His Cross.

Maybe you have a little fear factor motivating you to get creative, make some cold calls, sell the stuff you are not using, clean up your act, give-up that addictive habit and come clean. This 'motivational carrot' can be anything, and it is most likely something Good and wonderful since this the 'motivational carrot' is a trine. Mars trine Uranus, where Uranus reaches out and touches the Moon and the Sun (New Moon) is associated with willpower, where once the mind is made up, it's a done deal.

Now here is what Is so great about the BIG WRAP AROUND back to the New Moon. Every single Sun Sign has a motto and Leo says, "I will therefore I am". Leo is physically and emotionally strong! There is so much Life force behind Leo, that I guarantee if you want a mountain moved, then call a Leo and that mountain will be moved. You may have also noticed that Venus squares Jupiter. If any 'square' could possibly be Good, then this square would be the Good one. It likes to have just a little bit too much fun, but it could cost you. This aspect indicates there is a tendency to be extravagant and self-centered. This placement can cause you to think, feel and believe as though the Universe revolves around you. Believing that you are the center of the Universe can lead to self-indulgence in the worst ways.

The desire is to chase the fun side of Life, and if the going gets tough then you could easily lose interest and wander off for greener pastures. A moral code may be lacking or maybe it is just a lack of commitment.

Venus trine Jupiter is a traveling party, either for Love or just for fun, and just looking for a place to land. Self-indulgence is so high with this placement that you may have a problem keeping your weight down because of self-indulgent habits. Eat, drink and be merry all in honor of how wonderful you are.

While this aspect is not 'exactly exact' until Tuesday - August 22, 2023, as you can see below it has been in applying (approaching degrees) since August 9, 2023 and it will last until September 29, 2023. That means it is very much present at this time. Just look at the chart wheel and you will see this aspect has a 03 degree different as Jupiter is at 18 degrees 39 minutes and Venus is at 14 degrees 58 minutes (just round up to 15 degrees since there are 60 minutes in 1 degree).

So you have this aspect to consider as well, for quite a long time too. This aspect produces some carelessness in matters associated with Venus (Love and beauty) or finances since Venus rules both. You may find yourself reminiscing about how much time and money you used on young silly Love or how much money you would have today if you had not blown so much on physical possessions when you really should have saved.

The older you are with this aspect present, the luckier you are because there is something to be said for age and wisdom. In fact, there is a lot to be said for it. If you are older, thank God you have already learned this lesson, so squandering this aspect is less likely. Pretty much by 40 years old, one should have a solid grasp on their Life. Mars opposing Neptune is not exact until Tuesday - August 22, 2023 but as you can see above, this aspect came into the 'orb of influence' on August 7, 2023 and will last until September 6, 2023. This means this aspect is present and showing itself during this lit-up New Moon in Leo.

While this aspect is not touching the New Moon, it is certainly contributing to the chart. When you see this aspect, then search for the LIES, not the TRUTH. This aspect is HIGHLY susceptible to deceit. This reminds me of the violent and/or alcoholic family that is out of touch with reality. Living under those conditions usually encompasses a high degree of lies, deceptions, cruelty, secretiveness, underhandedness and wild imaginations. The unconscious mind (Neptune) is not computing properly here, so nothing is as it should be. So search for the LIE, otherwise you will be tricked into a Truth that does not exist.

Mars opposing Neptune carries the classic out-of-control mind that leads to the body being out of control. Sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, debauchery, depression, psychosomatic illness, hypochondriac, etc. All sense of reason is lost because LIES are present. Liar Liar Pants On Fire!

What would be really cool is if more time was spent creatively with the imagination running wild instead of obsessing and being jealous with a wild imagination. If one can integrate creatively with a wild imagination, then this is how songs are written in a half hour, books are written in a weekend, and mountains are climbed in record time.

Mars opposing Neptune is tricked, fooled and easily manipulated simply through emotion. Watch how the news or how the political spin is designed to get you ramped-up. This aspect finds it hard to relate to others emotionally. This is what makes one succumb to deceit and involved in misdeals, immorality and transgression. This aspect can be very problematic because the emotions are simply out of touch on both ends of the spectrum. The emotions are distorted either too aggressively or too passively.

You could use the 'motivational dangling carrot' to right yourself and snap you out of your obsession and over-active imagination. You could also use Mercury trine Jupiter, which is listed above and present until September 30, 2023 as 'the plugged-in motivator'.

This aspect can be downright dangerous because the unconscious mind is not tapped for reasoning, unless there is a stable influence of Mercury, which there is in this chart with Jupiter and Uranus, or if there is a solid-functioning Uranus or Saturn, of which there is with Pluto, Mercury and Mars. And last but certainly not least, Mars trine Pluto is also present in this chart, which is POWER ON STEROIDS! There is a separation of about 05 degrees if we round up 22 degrees 53 minutes to 23 degrees for Mars in Virgo since it is only 07 minutes away from being 23 degrees. WHAT! 23 degrees?

That means that Mars trine Uranus! We are back to the dangling 'motivational carrot' again. COOL BEANS! Wherever you go, therefore you are.

There are many routes around this chart wheel and while we have some issues, there is a lot of juice in this chart that you can use to move you in a productive and successful direction.
