NEW MOON IN LIBRA

The New Moon is in Libra on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 26 degrees 35 minutes. A New Moon occurs when the Moon and the Sun are in the same sign and the same degree. In this case, the Moon begins its new cycle in Libra at 26 degrees 35 minutes with the Sun in Libra at 26 degrees 35 minutes. There is no sense in sugar-coating this New Moon because it is challenging. If you look at the downloadable chart wheel (*link below) you will see that Uranus in Aries is opposing this New Moon at exactly 26 degrees. The Sun in Libra is opposing Uranus in Aries and the Moon in Libra is opposing Uranus in Aries. Since Mercury conjunct Jupiter just occurred yesterday (the 17th), it is still in play sitting right next to this opposition. Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk and not enough listening. Watch it folks, with all of this talking, it reminds me of the tortoise and the hare. The one doing all the talking and no listening just may be left behind. Too much is being revealed without considering the reprecussions of your words. The one listening will be able to take advantage of your position, your stance, your words and your own testimony because IT'S WHAT YOU SAID WHEN YOU BLABBER-MOUTHED.

Today's New Moon in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries in exact degrees tells us that something is about to change. While the change may 'not' appear on this exact date, change is definitely going to occur whether we like it or not. It's going to happen. If you have been keeping up with the October 2017 Astro-Memes then you already knew that the applying degrees of the Sun opposing Uranus has been present since October 11, 2017 and the separating degrees will last until October 25, 2017. This drastic change in circumstances can show up anytime between October 11, 2017 and October 25, 2017 with today October 19, 2017 being the height of the energy.

When we consider the Moon opposing Uranus this aspect reveals conflict in matters of emotions. These are sudden changing emotions that are unpredictable and nervous. Keep in mind that Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, which rules the nervous system. So this takes nervous energy to higher levels, such as tension, anxiety and sheer panic. The Moon opposing Uranus is about as unstable emotionally as it can get. These rattled emotions hit the home, family, childhood and maternal energy simply because the Moon rules the home and family. Chances are there will be one or both individuals in the relationship striving to dominate and get the upper hand. Sorry folks, but this New Moon is not as friendly as we would like, especially in the sign of Libra. This aspect is classic for men having issues with women. This aspect generates more stress than it does Love.

Remember, the New Moon is when the Moon and the Sun are in the same sign and degree. So next we consider the Sun opposing Uranus, which describes someone who just can't get along with anyone. The reason why is because the Sun naturally rules Leo and the 5th house of one-on-one connections, while Uranus naturally rules Aquarius and the 11th house of groups, masses, friends and acquaintances. These are opposite houses ruled by opposite signs (Leo and Aquarius). An opposition is a tug-of-war that has the 'potential' to be the perfect balance, but the Sun needs attention (and lots of it) so the chances of this opposition turning into a perfect-balancing-act is pretty dang slim. Since these two planets are literally taking sides between me, myself and I (Aries) and us, we and ours (Libra) this opposition basically says, "Hater's be hatin'." This aspect can't get along with anyone, so it is looking for conflict, and if it can't find conflict, then it will create it. Man oh' man this puts a damper on this New Moon. This is the classic 'Cranky Old Man Syndrome' who is unhappy, irritable and just looking to make someone wrong.

Another aspect present with this New Moon in Libra is Mercury conjunct Jupiter. While this aspect is exact the day before this New Moon, it is still just a handful of degrees away from this New Moon. I like to see each day of planets as a big party of planetary players. In this case, while the Moon and the Sun are standing side-by-side at the party, Mercury and Jupiter are standing in the doorway between one room and the other room. They are close enough that you can see them across the room standing in the doorway. These two planets (Mercury and Jupiter) are so talkative when they are together that you either want to walk away and hide in the kitchen or yell, "SHUT THE HELL UP!" And with the Sun opposing Uranus and the Moon opposing Uranus bitchy chatter is not only nerve-wrecking, it's causing some anxiety and poor communication.

We are still feeling the aftershocks of Mars square Saturn that occurred a week ago, but is still within 04-1/2 degrees of each other. When we consider these two planets at the New Moon party, it's like Mars is in the kitchen yelling out the back door at Saturn who wants to go home because its late and Mars doesn't want to leave because the party is just getting started. The New Moon can't see these two planets (Mars and Saturn) at the party, but everyone knows they are in the contradiction of one wanting to stay and one wanting to go home. This makes it hard to make a decision during this New Moon. Should I stay or should I go?

For those who are in challenging relationships during this New Moon, you may experience some relationship difficulties. Uranus may not only cause problems and rebellion in unhealthy relationships, it can cause problems and rebellion in healthy relationships. Issues may come out of left field and wreak havoc. Uranus has a way of striking, just like lightning, where you didn't see it comin' and it caused a lot of damage. The damage can be invisible, just like lightning striking close enough to a home where it wipes out all of the electrical gadgets, appliances, computers and air conditioner. You can't see the damage, but it's damaged beyond repair. Keep in mind that a New Moon is the start of 'new energy' not 'old energy'. So this is the beginning of a new cycle, not the end of an old cycle. This energy is challenging enough that some relationships will suffer to the point of breaking.

I do not mean for this to scare anyone, but I think it would be incredibly unfair and unprofessional of me not to give you as much information as possible so you can prepare your mind. Things that come out of left field are hard to prepare for anyway, but at least you expect the unexpected when Uranus is present at the exact same degrees in opposition to the Moon and the Sun.

This Uranus in Aries opposing the Sun and the Moon aspect has the ability to suck you in and make you a hater. Haters be hatin'! Whatever this sudden change in circumstance might be, it has the potential, the ability, and the capability of sucking you in and taking you down with a bad attitude. Take a look at this cat to the right showing its teeth and its mean face. This cat is yelling at the other cat. You can see the white cat just listening and taking it all in. You could be the mean girl or the cranky old man. You could be the one talking so harshly and looking bad. You can also be the one who takes in this energy and twists it like a pretzel into a figure eight thereby creating infinite Love out of it. You can take this energy and twist into your own creativity and wonderful advantage. You can take this energy and create something completely NEW, different and unique. Consider this energy A GIFT and use it as a gift. Do not be taken down, instead lift yourself up by your own ingenuity and originality. After all, the planet Uranus is the planet of originality, ingenuity, innovation and invention. If you feel the need to be hateful, then grab your guts and twist the energy into a successful Loving person instead of becoming the worst of yourself. BE ORIGINAL! If you have allowed yourself to become ugly, mean and unattractive because of someone else or other people, then you are the one out-of-control and out-of-integrity with yourself. Do not allow sudden changes in circumstances to control you, instead you control it. Do not hand over your control, instead be in control, like the white cat. If anything, roll with the changes and allow yourself to bloom with your best.

I have told this story many times before and this is a perfect spot to insert the story again because it fits the scene. I was once in a long-term relationship that was nothing but on-again, off-again for 12 years. It was awful. Then one day it dawned on me to break-up with this man on a New Moon, which would signify a new beginning for me and him. I chose the New Moon in Aries that was in April 2000. Anything that you begin during a New Moon has a better chance of success. So I pulled that plug and the break-up finally stuck.
