MERCURY IN AQUARIUS

Mercury moves into Aquarius on February 5, 2024 until February 23, 2024 where it will then move into Pisces.

Mercury stands for the intellect, common sense, cold reason, commerce and business. Its qualities are fluidity and versatility. Its position and aspects tell us about our communication and learning habits and our modes of thinking. Here is a nice little piece of Mercury trivia for you. Mercury will never be more than one Sun Sign away from the Sun. This means someone who has their Sun in Aquarius, will have their Mercury within 1 Sun Sign on either side of Aquarius or it will be in the sign of Aquarius. At the same time, Aquarius has a knack for making more mistakes than any other sign because they are so locked on what 'they' know that they might forget the intuitive knowingness or forget who they know. Aquarius can be quite stubborn and is quite capable of completely ignoring someone else's input. After all, Aquarius is a fixed sign, so changing their mind is no easy task.

Aquarius fully enjoys intellectual banter; therefore, in relationships, Aquarius needs intellectual stimulation before you EVER get those pants off of them. (winky wink) I have two very close 'bestee' friends who are Aquarian's, one male and one female. One minute we are talking about the distillation process of moonshine and the next minute we are talking about tectonic plates in the earth's crust. Then the conversation changes to flying buttresses, then shifts to making a cake with a dutch oven and a tripod while camping.

I really dig on Aquarian energy, but of course I would because I have Jupiter in Aquarius in my Natal Chart, which makes me a 'know it all' in my own right. Talk about expanded knowledge. BRING IT BABY! Astrology naturally rules Aquarius so naturally I would turn out to be an astrologer putting my Jupiter in Aquarius to work for me.

There is something to be said for "knowingness" on an intuitive level, which is also the gift of Aquarius. You don't know why you know what you know, but you know. If there is anything that Aquarian energy can teach us right now is to trust your knowingness . . heck, THEY DO! "I know therefore I am" is the Aquarian motto.

Go with it folks! Take on this incredible sense of knowingness to help you feed your futuristic pursuits. Aquarius is the revolutionary character of the zodiac, which rules the future, and this is where you will find your independent and rebellious streak. So it's not just what you know, it's who you know and your knowingness.. Remember, Aquarius is the circulator of groups, friends, organizations and gatherings, as well as, the ruler of the circulatory system.

This is a really great placement for Mercury because Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, which is the natural ruler of Aquarius. In other words, Mercury is very comfortable here as if it is in its exaltation. Mercury rules the mind and the intellect and Aquarius is one of the three intellectual air signs (Aquarius, Gemini and Libra).

Since this placement acts as though it is in its exaltation (higher form) this increases the need and desire for Good communication that transcends human understanding and turns more Universal and ethereal. This is why Mercury in Aquarius is often seen as telepathic and that of a mind reader.

Notice how you will be able to communicate with fewer words or even with the nod of your head.
