Mars in Cancer is actually in its Fall. This is where you do not have all of the tools necessary to help you. This is like someone thrust into a management position 'without' the knowledge, experience or skills necessary to do the job. Or it is like the 6th grader entering college. It's just out of place and you will need some extra help. Mars in Capricorn is in its exalted state (strength), which is why Mars in Cancer (Capricorn's opposite sign) is in its Fall (weakest state).

Since Mars is intensely aggressive and driven, and Cancer is emotional and moody, this placement can make you intensely emotional, moody and hyper-sensitive. I know, this is all you need if you are already an emotional person. Even more, this Mars position in the sign of Cancer has to do with the home and family. Emotions lead straight to anger under this Mars placement. This is where we see domestic violence enter the home, or at the very least, things are being thrown likes dishes or clothes out on the street. If relationships end, they will end on a nasty note (and what a bummer that is).

Cancer rules the mother and the home, so this placement creates inharmonious relationships in the domestic sphere. Cancer rules the stomach so there will be many who will experience upsets stomachs and ulcers due to emotional stress. You will have to do your best to simmer down your emotions and put on a cold lid on it so that you do not end up looking like the crazy one. Yep, no kidding. Anger gets so out-of-control that someone ends up looking crazy. I always say, the one who allows their emotions to roll so far out of control that they are throwing personal belongings out the window or burning clothes in the yard may be giving the other person reason to say, "See, that's what I'm talking about." I'm just sayin', do not give anyone a reason to justify their wrong behavior by looking like the crazy angry bitter one.

The best way to channel this intense emotion is directly into a project within the home environment, like the garden or landscaping. Cancer is the gardener and landscaper of the zodiac, which is the perfect channel for this energy since Cancer needs to nurture and nourish. This could also be used to clear junk, build a room addition or make much needed repairs. Having said that, this is THE BEST time for DIY (do it yourself) home projects. If you are stressed out, then reupholster a chair or paint a room. This will also give you the feeling of being in charge or feel as though you are back in charge. Remember, Mars naturally rules the charging ram. SO CHARGE IT appropriately.
