You must understand that emotions (Moon) and the ego (the Sun) can easily get into some crazy trouble together. The ego is like the friend who tempts or draws you into a world of regret, apology or embarrassment. The ego gets rattled and becomes 'offended' and then responds or acts out emotionally. The ego has been given to us to help us make right decisions, but all too often we route our decisions so we can be accepted by others. What happened to real survival mode? The 1st house rules what 'affects' the ego. The ego is not really developed until we learn some things through the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th houses. Just like little kids start developing their ego before they even get to Kindergarten. Then when they are ready to play with others, they go into the sandbox (school) and start developing relationships. That fun house and one-on-one playing, dating and intimacy on more aged levels, IS THE 5TH HOUSE!!! Leo rules the fun house.

The ego is not for us to sit on a pedestal and call ourselves - "right, queen, goddess or sir" if things don't go our way. Heck, if you were right all the time, then why are you here? Yesterday evening I had a client of 25 years call me who was extremely upset by a friend of hers who clearly only 'dabbled' in Astrology tell her some scary things about her chart. I had not yet spoken with this client about her upcoming 2024 Solar Return, so when her dabbling friend told her that she was going to have the worst two (2) years of her Life, this not only rattled my client, it made her downright terrified about her future.

I have a real problem with 'astrology dabblers' who have a lack of study and use fearful tactics to get others to sit up and pay attention to them. What this does is it gives them 'power' over someone else. That 'power' enables the dabbler, causing the client to hang on to them, instead of hanging on to their chart. NO NO NO!

My issue with dabblers goes even deeper than that because they read others charts and hand them fear, instead of insight, direction and guidance. If an individual is not well-studied in Astrology, they have zero business reading other peoples charts. I mean ZERO! Heck, most of the time, these dabblers are not even looking at the degrees because they don't know to look at degrees, much less anything else that matters.

I told my friend that this woman, who is her friend, is NOT an astrologer, she is a dabbler. She knows NOTHING beyond a planet in a sign. This woman honed-in on Saturn in Pisces without taking into account the current degrees of Saturn in Pisces or the degree of my client's Sun. Saturn in Pisces has long passed the point of hard impact on her Sun. That tough year? It was last year!!! Not the next two (2) year with Saturn in Pisces lasting until February 13, 2026.

My client and I went straight into her 2024 Solar Return from there and she was able to see that she is going to have one of THE MOST awesome and profound years in a long-ass time. There is no reputable Astrologer on the planet who would not be able to see this in my client's 2024 Solar Return.

Folks, I have no problem with you learning your Astrology here, there and everywhere else. God did not bestow on me to be the keeper of all Astrology information, but I am one of many. I am one of the expert voices and writers out there. Just one. But dabblers are NOT experts, nor are they Astrologers, nor are they professional.

My client asked her about the Nodes and the woman said they were not important. WHAT!?!?! HOLY GUACAMOLE BATMAN!!! The North and South Nodes are two (2) of the THE MOST sensitive points in your natal chart. The North Node is your dharma (future) and the South Node is your karma (past). Good grief!! That unknowingness proves right there that the woman knows NOTHING about Astrology beyond Sun Signs.

And here is the other thing, a Good and reputable Astrologer will give you escape routes to get yourself out of your jams. They will. Do this, don't do that. Simple. A Good and reputable Astrologer will give you routes, ideas, thoughts, direction, guidance and pointers to head in a certain direction that will work. They will NOT leave you fearful, feeling alone, helpless and holding on to them thereby giving them power over you. I can't stand that!!!

A really great Astrologer is going to take your Moon and Mercury into account when they speak to you so they will know what kind of communication (Mercury) your spirit needs to get 'the get' and how well your emotions can handle it. Before I speak to anyone, I want to know if I need to walk on eggshells and slowly crack them open, or can I come up with a 2 x 4 and crack them upside the head knocking sense into them. A Good and reputable Astrologer will look at your chart and KNOW what words to use to help you understand you. Looking at your chart will help the Astrologer know exactly what verbiage to use.

I remember eons ago, my Astrologer (may God rest his soul) telling me about this relationship I was in and how I felt about the man. I defended my feelings for the man, but my Astrologer kept poking me, denying the accuracy of my feelings. Then he said it. He said the word that helped me get 'the get'. He hit the nail on the head and I burst into tears when he said, "You don't Love him. You tolerate him."

OH MY GOSH! He was right. I was tolerating him for all kinds of reasons, but not Love. Ugggggh! That was the word. WORD!

It was at that point, I knew what to do to get out of that relationship. I also knew from that day forward that when reading a clients chart I would never leave them in their sadness without helping them see a 'way of escape'.

I often remind you of the Scripture that God does not give us more than we can handle and will always give us a way of escape. I know, you just wish He didn't trust you so much, with so much, right?

"God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)
