The BIG NEWS today is Mercury in Capricorn turns Retrograde (Rx), which should come as no surprise to you if you have been coming to this website within even the last month. A retrograde occurs when the planet moves backward in degrees. It is SUPER-IMPORTANT to remember that retrogrades are ILLUSIONS. IT'S NOT REAL! No planet 'ever' moves backward. Imagine that for a minute, a planet actually moving backward. It's an appearance that occurs. It's not a real thing. You can read more about 'Retrograde Motion' here.

Now how we respond to 'appearances' is very real. I enjoy watching the patterns of people, things and occurrences during a Retrograde. Interestingly enough, the outer planets do not receive as much press, excitement or drama as Mercury Retrograde. It's probaby because the outer planets (Neptune, Uranus and Pluto) are generational (aka transpersonal) and they are affecting generations of people all at one time. Then the inter-generational planets (aka social planets), which are more on the yearly scale (Saturn and Jupiter) are affecting us more 'in and out of' the personal and professional realm.

But it's the personal planets like - Mercury, Mars and Venus that really get under our skin and rattle our cage. It's just so personal. The Moon (a satellite or luminary) and the Sun (a star) never do retrograde. The Moon and the Sun are not planets, we just call them that because we just do for ease.

Mercury rules communication, promotion, marketing, gadgetry, data, sales, maintenance, activities of daily living, daily regimen, daily health, avenues of transportation and modes of transportation.

Mars rules our level of aggression, assertion, competitive spirit and the level at which we go after what we desire.

Venus rules our self-worth, net-worth, morals, values, Love, beauty, marriage, couplings and partnerships.

During Mercury Retrograde, we can pretty much expect illusions in the areas I just named. We typically only think of Mercury in the 'Gemini sense' ruling the 3rd house of communication, promotion, marketing, gadgetry, data, sales, avenues of transportation and modes of transportation, but Mercury also rules the 6th house of Virgo, which is daily maintenance, daily regimen, daily health, the daily grind, the routine in our day and activities of daily living, meaning activities that we do daily.

During this Mercury Retrograde we will experience a repeat of aspects that we already experienced. This is because Mercury will roll backward in degrees and make a connection with these aspects 'again'. Keep reading . . .

During Mercury Retrograde it is best that we DO MAINTENANCE and clean up our paperwork. Remember the PILES that typically shows up for those who have 'Saturn' issues or where Saturn is slamming your chart? Typically we see 'maintenance issues' is our daily Life with gadgetry (3rd house) or our health (6th house) when we do not do our personal maintenance like working out, eating right and enjoying healthy Lifestyles. The 6th house is your 'personal maintenance' in your daily Life.

So it stands to reason that since the Universe (God) is taking us backward in degrees, then we take care of our personal daily maintenance in all ways. Perhaps you found yourself recently digging into your piles and cleaning up your Life. Cleaning out the junk drawers, closets and maybe taking the car in for an oil change, air in the tires and winterizing the vehicle. That's all Mercury getting its act together.

Also note that Mercury re-enters Sagittarius and turns 'Direct' on January 1, 2024 at 22 degrees in Sagittarius. Mercury returns to where it was on November 25, 2023. WHY??? WHY IS IT DOING THAT? It's doing that so you can retrace your steps and go back to that date and get your act together. What was happening on or around November 25, 2023?

So the calendar begins at the 22 degrees and Mercury comes out of retrograde motion at the same degree and sign it was in back on November 25, 2023.

That's the way ALL retrogrades work. They take us back to a time and place so we get a chance to do-over and re-do something that we missed or messed up. God is giving us a do-over folks. A re-do. Another chance to get it right before we progress forward. COME ON - HOW GOOD IS GOD! He's real Good.

God is not giving us retrogrades to simply jack with us. That doesn't even make sense. What 'Good Father' would do that? What 'Good human father' would do that? These retrogrades are to serve us, so stop with the drama and whoa is me. Get your maintenance completed.

When gadgetry breaks down during Mercury Retrograde, it's usually due to poor maintenance or it could possibly have been purchased during Mercury Retrograde. DO NOT make electrical, gadgetry or transportation purchases during Mercury Retrograde. I know it's Christmas shopping season, but I don't care. These purchases during Mercury Retrograde will likely have something wrong with them or the shipping will foul up. Plus, this retrograde has been posted since the late fall last year, so you should have known this retrograde was coming. It's been on this website since late last year, as well as all over the internet on other sites.

I have been shopping for the right kitchen table for the breakfast area for several years. No kidding. I have patience like no-other when it comes to waiting for what I Truly want or desire. I don't need the chairs, I have the right chairs. I just need the dang table to go with my chairs. It's like the Kohler faucet commercial where the woman places on the desk of the architect her faucet and says, "Design a house around THIS!" It's like that! I want a table to match my chairs. That's how I am when I really LOVE something. It drives my Scorpion King crazy. You won't believe how long it took for me to find the right trash can for the kitchen. Well Monday night I finally found the table, locally, in my neck of the woods. I went to make the purchase yesterday and they wanted to ship it to me and I wouldn't have it. I said you have to ship it to this store so I can pick i up or I will not buy it. I won't buy anything shipped right now, not until mid-January 2024 because of Mercury turning Retrograde today.

I say mid-January because it takes Mercury two (2) weeks to get back up to its normal speed after having been retrograde. Think of a locomotive slowing down to a stop, then going backward slowly, and then stopping to move forward again and lugging slowly forward before it gets back up to regular choo-choo speed. Retrogrades are like THAT!

Anyway, the distribution center is about 20 miles away and they have the table. So today I am picking up my table. Now if this were gadgetry or any computer chip, wiring, battery, electrical, mobile or vehicle thing, I would have not made the purchase at all. I made the purchase and STILL did not want it shipped.

Once I get my mind made-up about something, I'm a stickler. And I will not buy unless I Love something. I don't waste money. It's my Moon in Capricorn and Saturn in Capricorn. Whatever I buy, it better stand the test of time and be of great lasting quality. Longevity and time, that's Capricorn. I don't want to repeat buy anything. I want it to last until the day I turn to Light and leave the planet.

During Mercury Retrograde do not sign any new agreements either because Mercury rules 'paperwork' and clerical stuff. Mercury makes agreements the Good ol' fashion way, on a handshake, but who can trust that nowawdays. If the business is old business and it is finishing up an agreement, that is a different story, but NO new contracts or agreements until two (2) weeks after Mercury turns in Direct in January 2024.

And oh, the sweetness of Mercury sextile Venus is still present until Friday - December 15, 2023.
