Blue Cohosh contains antibacterial properties and properties that effect the nerves. Blue Cohosh also has properties that have an antispasmodic effect on the entire body. Blue Cohosh contains Vitamins E and B-Complex. It also contains the minerals calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. Blue Cohosh
should also be used in combination with Black Cohosh.
Blue Cohosh relieves muscles cramps, muscle spasms, thereby helping to provide relief during menstruation. Because of the emmenagogue properties in Blue Cohosh, it has been used by pregnant women if taken several hours before delivery because it helps if labor is slow or painful. Blue Cohosh has also been said to help stretch the neck of the uterus so that the delivery will be easier. Blue Cohosh should also NOT be taken during pregnancy and ALWAYS at the ADVICE of the obstetrician or physician in charge of the pregnancy.
Blue Cohosh should not be taken by a pregnant woman except under the care and advice of her physician.
