What do you think about Sen. John Kerry being refused communion by the Catholic church?

Thanks for the e-mail. Great question and I absolutely Love the controversial subject matter.
I agree with the Catholic church refusing John Kerry communion.
I think Sen. Kerry's public display of his belief system is merely showing us the reflection of our own belief system. He's a perfect and public example of showing us what it looks like to profess or say one thing, and then do another. In other words, do we stand in our belief system or not? And when we are challenged to stand up for what we believe in, would we? I think our spiritual belief system, first and foremost, is our foundation and reflects everything we do and say. Sen. Kerry is just giving us an example of what it looks like when we go against what we profess to believe.
This is not just an example for Catholics, Sen. Kerry is showing 'everyone' this example. It's a Good thing when we see this happen so we can witness it and change ourselves where and when it's necessary.
The question I'd like to ask Sen. Kerry is, "What do you think the Holy Eucharist is?" I'd be willing to bet that he is 'willing' to go against his spiritual belief system in order to gain popularity.
