The BIG NEWS today is Venus sextile Uranus, which began in applying (approaching) degrees on July 1, 2024, and will end in separating (pulling apart) degrees on July 15, 2024. Also, Mercury sextiles Jupiter, which began in applying degrees on July 5, 2024 and will end in separating degrees on July 11, 2024.

Applying degrees is when an aspect is preparing to arrive and separating degrees is when it is leaving. We feel it coming and we feel it going.

Venus rules both the 2nd house of self-worth (morals and values), which translates into net-worth (personal income and possessions), and the 7th house of committed relationships, mated unions, marriages, partnerships and contractual couplings.

When it comes to money and Love, we are pretty much in 'anything goes' territory. Everything has sex attached to it. Not sexual or sexy, but SEX. The desperation for attention or friendship is unreal. People really are doing 'anything' for money and Love. The lengths people go to on social media for attention is just outrageous.

Maybe I'm just being 63 years old, but I don't think so. What I'm seeing through the lens of social media is more people uncomfortable in their own skin, claiming they don't care what others think, all the while scratching and crawling to get attention from complete strangers. It's the damndest thing I've ever seen.

This Venus sextile Uranus could easily play on your insecurities (Venus) causing you to do just about anything for Love. Security comes through several houses in the chart in different forms. The 2nd house and our feelings of security come through self-worth and net-worth. We could not be living in more 'insecure' times.

Be careful folks, Venus sextile Uranus falls in and out of Love immediately, if not sooner. This is not the aspect that you want to start something NEW that you Love, because it simply won't last, including a new job or a new relationship. This aspect can cause one to run off and elope. Sounded like a Good idea at the time.

What this aspect really wants is space, freedom and independence. It says, "I Love you, but don't cling to me." It also says, "I want you, but not right now." Traditional relationships turn unconventional, but that doesn't last. So just say, "HELL NO!" to the temptations or threats to make you do something you would not otherwise do for money or Love.

Joe Friday from the TV series 'Dragnet'? One of his famed lines was, "Just the facts ma'am." The character was very left-brained. He had no use for the emotions, just the facts. Then he took the facts and did his investigation.

Mercury is very left-brained. It naturally rules Gemini (the thinker) and Virgo (the analyzer). As you think left-brained, embrace a diverse set of outcomes, a differential, and a broad range of knowledge. Left-brain thinking does not lock you into only one route, one suspect, or one direction. There are many roads to Rome. The left-brain takes you through tried and True routes, not fantasyland, fairytale, fiction and fables. Left-brain is looking for that sure thing. Jupiter is going to take the newfound knowledge, as well as experiences, and take the solution(s) to a higher level.
