So the BIGGER news is Mercury will be turning Retrograde on December 13, 2023. It's important that you be conscious of EXACT WHAT IS occurring in your Life RIGHT NOW because Mercury will be taking us backward in degrees and sliding over the same set of degrees we are in RIGHT NOW.

In fact, Mercury will scootch back to the same degrees it was at on December 29, 2023 (just 4 days ago), which was at 22 degrees in Sagittarius. That means Mercury will retrograde so far back that it will re-enter Sagittarius on December 23, 2023 until January 13, 2024. Ta Dahhhh! Hoof-in-the-mouth-syndrome AGAIN!

Well son-of-a-biscuit-eater!!! The Good news is we will get to go back into 'hoof in the mouth syndrome' (Mercury in Sagittarius) and have the chance to repair, fix or apologize for our mouthy selves when Mercury was in its detriment or better yet, repair anything mouthy communciation from our past. On December 13, 2023 Mercury will retrograde and head backward in degrees and travel so far back.

That on December 23, 2023 he re-enters Sagittarius.

Then Mercury turns Direct on January 1, 2024 while still in Sagittarius.

Then on January 13, 2024 while traveling in forward motion again (Direct) Mercury will re-enter Capricorn.

Mercury ends his post-retrograde shadow right at about January 20, 2024.

Retrogrades give us a do-over, meaning we get a chance to re-do something before we progress forward. Retrogrades are a time of do-over and repair work.

Mercury rules maintenance, which is repair work. Make sense? If you have not maintained your car, your appliances, your gadgets, etc., this is the time when you will see those items breakdown for lack of attention or quite possibly because you bought a lemon during the last Mercury Retrograde. Stop doing that!!!

Sadly, a whole mess of people will not be paying attention and they will make electronic, vehicle and appliance purchases during Mercury Retrograde this year because there is so much shopping time before Christmas while Mercury is Retrograde (beginning December 13, 2023). RATS!

We have been shopping for a new dishwasher. I don't even use the dishwasher because it's not a big deal to wash two (2) plates or bowls for two (2) people. But still, we are shopping for a new dishwasher for aesthetic purposes in the kitchen as the current dishwasher is a dinosaur and belongs in a dishwasher museum somewhere. I'd just as soon take the damn thing out and replace it with more cabinet space. Keep reading . . .

Anyway, Mercury begins his slow down a couple of weeks before he turns Retrograde. Mercury moves at about 2-1/2 degrees a day, which is why under normal circumstances, he can change signs every 15 to 17 days. He moves pretty dang fast, not as fast as the Moon, but he moves at a pretty quick clip. So he has already begun slowing down so I will be waiting to make that dishwasher purchase because I missed the window of opportunity. So I will be waiting until after January 20, 2023 or right around there, which is about three (3) weeks after Mercury turned Direct on January 1, 2024 to make that dishwasher purchase.

Also folks, wait on any surgeries or medical procedures as well. Mercury rules not only Gemini, but Virgo as well. Virgo rules our 6th house of physical health. DO NOT get elective procedures done, for God's sake, don't do it!!! Having elective procedures done during Mercury Retrograde would be like having them done during Venus Retrograde. Mercury rules the doctors hands. Mercury rules the hands (Gemini) and the doctor (Virgo).

Remember in yesterday's Daily Horoscope in the 4th paragraph I wrote about the double-whammy when Mercury is in Sagittarius?

If you are paying attention, you will reallllly begin to notice his slowdown as he comes to a stop in order to put it in reverse and go backward in degrees. Before a planet turns retrograde (Rx) it slows down just like you do in your car when you prepare to shift into reverse. You slow down to a complete stop, then shift into reverse.

Above are the planetary aspects we are and will be experiencing three (3) times as a result of Mercury Retrograde. Mercury is a communicator, remember that! So for those of you who are on a constant-churning-hamster-wheel of talking about others and what they are doing to you, and aren't doing for you, then while you are studying Astrology, go figure yourself out before you try to figure out anyone else.

We are talking about Mercury here, the communicator. Mercury can have you complaining about everyone else and what they did or didn't do, except poor little ol' innocent you, placing you in a self-appointed position to fix them. During this Mercury sextile Saturn 'Mr. of Miss Fix It', you might want to fix that, meaning yourself.

Perhaps the 'Voice of Authority' you should be listening to is not your own. Give that some thought, since Mercury rules the mind, thoughts and mental process.
