![]() ![]() ![]() The Moon in Aries conjunct the Sun in Aries at 12:13 AM EDT. This is the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries at 29 degrees 50 minutes, which is the 2nd New Moon in Aries in during the Sun in Aries. What a way to kick off the astrological year! 2nd chances! God is so Good! The Moon moves into Taurus at 12:30 AM EDT until Saturday - April 22, 2023 at 6:11 AM EDT. The Sun moves into Taurus at 4:14 AM EDT until Sunday - May 21, 2023 at 3:09 AM EDT where it will then move into Gemini. The Moon in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius at 1:04 AM EDT. Lunar aspects have an 'orb of influence' of 12 to 14 hours 'before' and 'after' their exactness. The Moon in Taurus sextile Saturn in Pisces at 8:30 AM EDT. Lunar aspects have an 'orb of influence' of 12 to 14 hours 'before' and 'after' their exactness. The Sun in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius at 12:27 PM EDT where it began in applying degrees on April 12, 2023, it is exact today, and will last in separating degrees until April 28, 2023. ![]() The BIG NEWS today is the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries at 12:13 AM EDT, which is just 17 minutes before the Moon changes signs and moves into Taurus. Well that didn't last long. The OTHER BIG NEWS today is the Sun leaves Aries and mooooooves into Taurus at 4:14 AM EDT just 4' hours and 1" minute after the eclipse at 12:13 AM EDT. Well that didn't last long. Unless you heard about it, happened to have read about it, or were in and around Australia, Timor-Leste, and Indonesia, you may not have known a New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred at all. This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries occurred at 29 degrees 50 minutes, which is the second New Moon in Aries this month. The first New Moon in Aries, which I made a major deal over, occurred back on March 21, 2023 at 00 degrees 50 minutes. That means the Moon and the Sun had just come into the sign of Aries, both at exactly 00 degrees 50 minutes creating the New Moon Moon in Aries. A New Moon is when the Sun and the Moon are in the same sign, same degree. Now, just before the Moon and the Sun move into Taurus, at the final degree, 29 degrees 50 minutes, they conjunct again creating a second New Moon in Aries. So much for a 'New Moon' when its really old news. Even more . . . just 3 hours and 44 minutes later both the Moon and the Sun move into Taurus and will come within 02 degrees of each other. THAT my dear astrotators is a conjunction. So in a super-close and wild way, we have New Moon in Taurus (but not), but yeah we do, (but not), but yeah we do, but not exactly exact. A conjunction is within 10 degrees of each other and this conjunction in Taurus is within 02 degrees. It's like we have New Moon in Aries Solar Eclipse and then a New Moon in Taurus, back-to-back. Keep reading . . .
I received a lot of messages yesterday from a lot of people about April 19th and things that had occurred on April 19th. There is a reason why I was not falling all over myself looking for April 19th connections. It's always Good to study astrology by way of 'patterns', but folks the Universe is not hanging on to dates for patterns. The Universe does not operate in dates, it operates in coordinates creating angles and aspects that shows up on a chart wheel. That's where the pattern should be looked at and deciphered, not in dates. Heck, your yearly Solar Return is not about 'a date'. It's about the coordinates and where the Sun 'returns' to the same degree and minute it was when you were born at the location you reside in that particular year. Your Solar Return might be one (1) or two (2) days before or after your birth 'date'. The pattern is in the Sun at the exact degree and minute. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE DATE! The Universe does not know April, 19th, Thursday . . it knows coordinates, degrees, angles. That's why April 19th did not rock my world and why I was not researching stuff that occurred on April 19th. The date can be distracting you from the actual information. Unless I was researching a Solar Eclipse 19 years earlier. Now if you want to get into astrological patterns, then let's talk about that, I will dive down that hole with you or play in that sandbox with you, but the date, it means nothing to me unless you connect some dots with astrology. Otherwise, it's just another date to me. Actually, April 19th does mean something to me, I graduated from Chiropractic School on April 19th. So let's get into the eclipse. There is a pattern in eclipses. First when it comes to eclipses, the North Node is always sitting next to an eclipse, and 'almost always' in the same sign as the eclipse. This eclipse is in the sign of Aries and sitting right next to this eclipse is the North Node in Taurus. Now see, this eclipse 'would have' followed the general rule of eclipse/node/same/sign in ten (10) more minutes on the chart wheel as this eclipse is at 29 degrees 50 minutes. Eclipses also occur in the same sign every 19 years. So, you might say to yourself, "Self? That's a lot of 19's!" Yep, every 19 years, and interestingly enough, this 2023 Solar Eclipse occurring on the 19th if you lived in the U.S. - Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska or Hawaii Time Zones. Otherwise, this New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs today, April 20th, in Eastern Time and the rest of the remaining 18 time zones around the rest of the world. Only six (6) time zones experienced this New Moon Solar Eclipse in the U.S. on April 19, 2023 and everyone else will experience it on April 20, 2023. I write this website in Eastern Time, which is why it is posted today. And get this, unless you were in and around Australia, Timor-Leste, and Indonesia, you may not have known a New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred at all, if not for the news and the internet, or unless it directly affected a point on your chart wheel. This Solar Eclipse is unusual as the New Moon in Aries occurred just before the Sun and the Moon moved into Taurus, where the North Node would have been sitting 'in the same sign'. The North Node is currently in Taurus and the South Node is currently in Scorpio until July 17, 2023 where they will then enter Aries and Libra. Then we will experience a pattern of 18 months of eclipses that involve Aries and Libra becausssssssse the Nodes change every 1-1/2 years (18 months). Oh there's a pattern again! See, it's not about a date. So this is an unusual New Moon Solar Eclipse in the sign of Aries with a North Node in Taurus, but ohhhhhhh sooooo close to the New Moon Solar Eclipse being in the sign of Taurus. It just missed by 10 minutes. A pattern is broken, but yet it does create a pattern from 19 years earlier on April 19, 2004 on the 19th where the Sun and Moon were in Aries at 29 degrees 49 minutes (not 50 minutes). Annnnnnnnnd, some parts of the world experienced that Solar Eclipse on April 20th. Time Zones! Anyway, we look for the patterns in the chart wheel, not the date. But here you see, it was pretty dang exact. Nineteen (19) years before 2004 there was a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus in 1985. Notice that the New Moon Solar Eclipse in 2023 and 2004 were both at 29 degrees, which was just inches (minute) away from being in the sign of Taurus, as you can see the Nodes were in Taurus/Scorpio. So the 2023 and 2004 Solar Eclipses broke the general rule of the North Node in the same sign as the eclipse, but close enough huh? Algebra! It's like that, exceptions to rules. Here are the three (3) chart wheels. Maybe this New Moon Solar Eclipse today or last night in the other time zones, blew right over your head, unless of course you had a planet in the 'orb of influence' that was in a trine, sextile, square, quincunx, opposition or conjunction to it. Maybe you have a house cusp at 29 degrees 50 minutes Aries and that's where the eclipse will impact/affect you. Now here is the caveat folks, think of eclipses of having a shot of adrenaline or an injection of steroids. New Moons, ESPECIALLY Full Moons have a lot of drama attached to them, simply because people crave attention. And the dramatic or insecure folk have a craving to been looked at, seen, noticed, admired, applauded and recognized. For these individuals, they will act and react more displayed, as well as dis-played. It's a Natal Chart thing. So if we think of the New Moon or Full Moon and know that there is a 5 to 7 day 'orb of influence' that is strongest during that time, well consider that the shot of adrenaline or injection of steroids that the Solar Eclipse receives. Imagine the ancients who were experiencing the firsthand 'sight' of the eclipse, as they are today in and around Australia, Timor-Leste, and Indonesia with this Solar Eclipse. It's 2023 and we know more, so it is doubtful the people in and around Australia, Timor-Leste, and Indonesia are thinking this is the end of the world as we know it. It had to be incredibly scary to experience any eclipse back in ancient times. The old sages experienced them many times over their years, so I'm certain they were chill and had meaningful things to share with the tribe/clan/village. But those who were young, immature, inexperienced, needy, insecure, etc., they were probably dramatic and hyper-emotional about it. Life! Age! Experience! Knowledge! And so it goes. The Branch Dividian Compound in Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993 and the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19, 1995 had no astrological relationship to a Solar Eclipse and neither were even in the same nodes. The charts have no relationship to each other. The only relationship they have as far as dates . . . is the date, but there is no astrological relationship. Now here is what happens when we go down rabbit holes that have absolutely no relationship to the Solar Eclipse except 'a date', then we end up DISTRACTED from what we should really be paying attention to, and that is the Solar Eclipse and where it impacts our chart. So moral of the story, do not get caught up in dates, instead get caught up in the charts. That is the relationship that speaks volumes. Now the personal motivation behind the bombing in Oklahoma City had its roots in the charts of the individuals involved, but April 19th was meaningful to the individuals (Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols), not the chart. Folks, study that charts and make those connections with the patterns. For you, since this New Moon Solar Eclipse is in the final degree at 29 degrees 50 minutes, you might also look at the 'orb of influence' surrounding it within a handful of degrees, meaning the first handful of degrees into Taurus, because after all, the North Node is in Taurus snuggling up to this Solar Eclipse. And, in just 17 minutes after the New Moon Solar Eclipse hits exact, the Moon moves out of Aries into Taurus. And, 3 hours and 01 minute later the Sun moves out of Aries and into Taurus. That's pretty dang significant. Do not just settle on the last degree of Aries, look at the first handful of degrees in Taurus in your chart as well. Also, look for action on adrenaline and steroids to occur within 5 to 7 days of this Solar Eclipse. You may have heard to watch for action through the next 5 to 6 months from a New Moon or Full Moon Solar Eclipse. Well I can explain. You must remember that a New Moon occurs once a month, and a Full Moon occurs once a month. A New Moon in a certain sign occurs in a certain month, and then 5 to 6 months later the Full Moon (in that same sign) occurs. The Full Moon to a New Moon occurs 5 to 6 months later. So that's why I ALWAYS SAY, "The Full Moon is the 6 month check-up to the New Moon you experienced 6 months earlier." Now you see, this New Moon Solar Eclipse, if it impacts your chart in the 'orb of influence' of a handful of degrees, it has the ability to impact, affect and influence your Life heavily within 5 to 6 months of it occurring. Whew! Get out your charts, blow the dust off of them and look for Aries at 29 degrees and Taurus around 00 degrees. Look within 08 degrees for trines and trines, within 04 degrees for sextiles and quincunx's, within 10 degrees for oppositions and within 10 degrees for conjunctions. Keep reading . . .
The other aspect occurring today is the Sun squaring Pluto. POWER TRIP! CONTROL FREAK! Imagine the Sun fighting with Pluto for control. We were watching the NHL (hockey) playoffs last night and this one guy who is 5'9" (Pluto) was fighting with a guy who was 6'2" (the Sun). That guy may have been a smaller hockey player, but he sure packed a punch. Mighty but small. That is what we are dealing with here today with the Sun squaring Pluto. This is like a tiny little fly buzzing around your head. Of all the dang places in the world to buzz around and he buzzes your head. Gosh, you would think a fly would be afraid of a giant, but noooooooooo he spends his short time on the earth buzzing your head. He's quick, he's mighty and he's irritating. PLUTO! And he has the power to dictate how you act and react, and whether you will lose your temper over something so small, like him. So I ask you my dear little astrotators, have you no self-control that if you have to end up controlling someone else with your emotions, words, criticism and timing. What? The party can't start until you show up, so you show up late? Ohhhhh, that's control. All attention has to turn your way for your grand late entrance. OH HELL NO! I would leave without you so fast and you will know not to control me with your late self-importance. But that's just me. Think about it, even the Law of Averages says that sooner or later, you will be on time. So if you are late ALL THE TIME, you are doing it on purpose and to control others. You would have to be driving around the block or sitting in the car just so you can be late, all the damn time. This Sun square Pluto seeks to control in so many ways. It is MANIPULATIVE! Pluto is the planet of manipulation, control, temptation, schemes, plots, machinations, subterfuges, and sneaky maneuvers. Imagine for a moment if you sought to beat this aspect and play without straining yourself. What if during the tug-of-war you just simply let go? What would happen to the energy on the other side if you let go of the rope? That's right, the game would be over because the other side would fall on their ass. And when they fall, they will undoubtedly let go of the rope as they sit on their cursing, and then you quickly pick up the rope and pull the flag that hangs in the center to your side. That's what I call, "WINNING! Gemini style!" When you decide not to control or be controlled, your entire strategy changes. Now the Sun square Pluto is completely unattractive energy, so NEVER think that you are looking as important as you might think, if you decide to satchet down the control-freak path. And another thing, this Sun square Pluto aspect serves as a bowling ball rolled into your path. Do you drive around it, like a pothole and stay focused on the New Moon Solar Eclipse, or do you drive straight in to it and brake your axle or flatten a tire? The New Moon is ALWAYS about fresh starts and new beginnings. ALWAYS! And this is the 2nd New Moon in Aries during the Sun in Aries time period, which is the sign of 'new beginnings' and 'the start of creation/creating'. So get busy! Granted, this New Moon Solar Eclipse is teetering on a New Moon in Taurus being only 10 minutes away on the chart wheel, so I encourage you to look at the early degrees of Taurus as well. You are getting a 2nd fresh start this Spring. Yay for you! Yay for us! Now WTF-up! ![]()
As a side note, look at the list of 2023 Planetary Retrogrades to the right. Notice that as of January 18, 2023, there are NO PLANETS RETROGRADE up until April 21, 2023 when Mercury will Retrograde 'again'. So you can expect a lot of awareness, quickness, steadfast forward change, from the masses as they begin to awaken from their slumber-fairy-dust-sleep. There's going to be a lot of, "Oh sh!t". This is the time to press on the gas and cram as much productivity you can in a short period of time. Oh right up my alley. Cram 55 lbs. in a 5 lb. can. Folks, it is time to put on your skates because it's a power play. All the skaters are on the ice and you have a chance to score some points with the Universe. Remember the quote from Wayne Gretzky, the greatest hockey player of all time? "I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been." Cram as much as you can and get as much accomplished as you can before April 21, 2023. We will take a look back then at today's writing when the time comes. ![]() IMPORTANT **This horoscope is no substitute for a prescription or medical advice.
