THE BIG NEWS TODAY IS there is a New Moon in Aries, which is MY FAVORITE New Moon of all time evah! A New Moon is when the Moon conjuncts the Sun. The New Moon in Aries is today, Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at exactly 5:28 AM EDT at 04 degrees 12 minutes. Download the 'New Moon in Aries' chart wheel for this aspect and lay it over your personal Expansive Natal Chart or Solar Return, line up the Sun Signs and degrees to see where this aspect is affecting your chart. Notice on the perimeter of the chart wheel it looks like a ruler with little notches. Each notch is a degree. Notice there are 30 notches for each of the 12 Sun Signs. 30 degrees x 12 Sun Signs = 360 degrees (a wheel) A New Moon is when the Moon and the Sun are in the same sign and same degree. In other words, they are conjunct, like conjoined twins and a conjunction emphasizes and intensifies the energies of the planets involved. In this case, the Moon will be in Aries at exactly 04 degrees 12 minutes and the Sun will be in Aries at exactly 04 degrees 12 minutes, which you can see on the downloadable chart. The New Moon is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. If you notice from the downloadable chart wheel, this is a 'Baby Stellium'. A Stellium is when there are 4 planets or more planets all in the same sign and same house, all all within 10 degrees of each other. In this case there are only three (3) cosmic bodies involved, which is the Sun in Aries, the Moon in Aries and Chiron in Aries. If the planets are in different signs crossing houses, then these planets must be within 10 degrees of each other and even this would be a judgment call on the part of the astrologer. New Moon's are always about fresh starts and new beginnings, so when this New Moon is in the sign of Aries, it magnifies the energy because Aries is the first sign of the zodiac charging right out of the astrological gate to be first in line and crossing over the finish line first. To say this New Moon is competitive would be an understatement. Aries really doesn't even really need competition from anyone else because Aries competes with itself for personal best. Aries is the first of firsts and the start of creation. Aries is the trail-blazer, the pioneer and the starter. Every team of any size needs a starter who comes up with the ideas and puts them to action. It's like the starting pitcher on a baseball team. The starting pitcher does not have to finish the game, they just have to get the game started and going in the right direction. Aries 'does not' want a relief pitcher to come in until the game is on the right track winning.
Notice that the glyph for Aries represents the horns of the charging ram. This is symbolic of their aggressive and fiery nature. Aries sprung to Life as the first sign of the zodiac (the sprouting seed) bringing with it an explosion of energy. So Aries represents 'the beginning' and 'the big bang'. This is why the New Moon in Aries is so important. It explodes with new ideas, new opportunities, new pathways, new ways and new trails. Aries is an action-oriented sign, so to get the most out of this energy, you must apply yourself using a fresh start and new beginning. SUN IN ARIES -- The Sun is the planet of individuality, character and where the Sun is shining brilliantly for the world to see. The Sun is exalted in the sign of Aries, which is the second strongest placement for the Sun next to Leo. An exaltation is often looked as being a 'guest' in this house. Have you ever heard anyone say, "Mi casa, su casa." In Spanish this means, "My house is your house." An exaltation is saying, "Welcome, take your shoes off and stay a while. I enjoy having you here." Translation = I Love this so much I could live here! So you see my dear little astrotators, the Universe is a happy place when the Sun is in Aries. The is the second best placement for the Sun with the first being in the sign of Leo, since the Sun naturally rules Leo. I know, I know, Aries does not like to come in second place, but in this case, the Sun in Aries is in the second most favorable position. Also consider that the Sun is heat. While Mars may be seen as a 'hot planet', it's actually pretty cold. Mars has a hard time holding on to its heat there due its thinner atmosphere. Perhaps this why Mars in astrology is seen as hot-headed or a planet that lets its aggression (heat) release so easily. Mars can't hold in the heat and will release whether anyone likes it or not. So why not find a proper channel to release your Mars energy? MOON IN ARIES -- Always keep in mind, the Moon rules the emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities. With the nature of the Aries impulse and get-the-hell-out-of-my-way initiative, there is only a concern for 'the self', which does not take into account due consideration of others. The Moon naturally rules the sign of Cancer (home, family, mother, nurturing) and the sign of Cancer naturally squares Aries. Remember, a square is like a sharp elbow in your side. A square is two signs (Aries, Cancer) that is separated by two signs (Taurus, Gemini). So Cancer and Aries are separated by Gemini and Taurus. Boom, a square! Being that Cancer is the maternal, nurturing, caretaker, nurse and breast feeding sign, and Aries is the rowdy six-year old who heads out so fast he forgets his water bottle and rides his bicycle on the main road . . . you can now see how the Moon in Aries is simply out of place and out of touch with feelings. The emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities are the driving force causing you to become independent, self-reliant and a lone wolf thereby pushing you to take charge of your own Life. You will feel your own gears shift where YOU become important and YOU have ignored yourself long enough. This isn't about what others have not given you or what they took from you. No one took anything that you were not willing to give. You gave up on you and now you are back in the game. Put me in coach! You are ready to play the game of Life again. In the Spring, Aries springs forth and takes action, which exactly what you are ready to do with this New Moon in Aries. Translation = "I'm going to blaze my own trail and take care of myself! I don't need my mommy, I don't need a caretaker and I don't need You! I can do it my self!" CHIRON IN ARIES from February 18, 2019, until April 14, 2027. Chiron was only discovered in November of 1977. Chiron is known as 'the wounded healer'. Looking at how Chiron has shown up in each sign since 1977, it's pretty clear that 'the wounded healer' label fits pretty dang well. Chiron represents our emotional and physical wounds. It reveals the part of us that is hurt, small and vulnerable. This is where we are encouraged to heal our wounds, and then look beyond our personal realm, to see the suffering of others, and to become teachers and healers. We all have it in us to become healers and teachers. I remember this reality check back in the early days while building this website. I had closed my women's holistic health clinic to build this website and during that time period I went completely broke. I mean down to my last dime that I had taped to a picture of Jesus. I lost my home, my car, I couldn't even get a credit card or a checking account at a bank. It was awful. But even in the midst of it all, I knew that I had to walk the path in order to understand my clients, visitors and audience. It was the way of the cross. I had to bear it in order to get 'the get' and that made the path worth walking with a burden on my back. It was okay. It would be okay and now, it is more than okay, even as I experience the global state of affairs with you and the dodge the coronavirus. Notice how Chiron is represented by a symbol that looks like a key. This key, unlocks the wound, that we are to heal and embrace, in order to use, to help others. We cannot heal it, if we do not unlock it. Oh my Goodness, if you all only knew, really knew, what it took in order for me to bring this website to you, it would blow your mind. It's all water under the bridge now, but I walked that path. I even had to update this website from a coffee shop in the dead middle of winter because I had no heat in my apartment for about two (2) weeks. And it was a 325 square foot apartment. I went from driving an SUV to riding a bicycle. Those were crazy times, but I was obviously working on a 'self-worth' path at the time. Now? I have self-worth down cold! Over time, I earned everything back and I earned a new and improved Life.
As I watched the patterning of Chiron through the years through my natal chart, it gave me a wonderful guide of hope as I moved through each sign. Chiron can transit a sign from anywhere between 1-1/2 years to 9 years. What kind of whacked pattern is that? Well, as the wounded healer, isn't that how our wounds operate, at a whacked pattern? Chiron spends the most time in Pisces and Aries at 8 and 9 years, which is interesting since Pisces ends the astrological calendar and Aries begins the astrological calendar. Aries is the 1st sign and Pisces is the last sign. Aries is the beginning and Pisces is the ending. Interesting that Chiron's transit lasts so long in these two signs. I guess its what we need and the Universe (Father) always knows best. Also, think about wounds and how long it takes for different wounds to heal. There are scratches that are superficial and some that go deep and require a Band-Aid. There are bruises that are deep to the bone and some that are superficial. We see the healing of a bruise taking place by noting the color. Think of diabetic wound care and how delicate and dangerous it is. Chiron can takes years to heal in therapy with a counselor or a stint in rehab. Chiron can heal with a gauze dressing or laying in a hospital bed. Chiron can heal go through out-patient surgery or heal naturally through home remedies and lifestyle change. It's entirely up to you, but the transit time of Chiron in a sign will give us a pretty Good indication of how long this healing will take. In this round of Chiron through the sign of Aries, it will take eight (8) years of self-care and putting your mask on first. And here we are, experiencing and dodging the coronavirus. Put your mask on first! Aries is all about being FIRST! Take care of yourself FIRST! By golly that saying is REAL!
This is time for you to break that mold that you keep doing over and over again causing you to remain in the same place except on different day and different year. This energy can be a tremendous growth spurt for those who choose to accept this mission and blaze a new trail. You are not to blame anyone else for how your Life turned out to be the way it is. Remember, if it is to be, it is up to ME because Aries is all about -- me, myself and I. There is no blame or finger pointing with this energy, either put up or SHUT UP! Those of you with a South Node in Aries will REALLY NEED TO use this energy in a wonderfully selfish way as opposed to a whiney, bratty selfish way. If a South Node Aries gets bratty instead of knowing they need to wonderfully-selfishly take care of themselves, then the energy will backfire and cause big explosive issues. South Node Aries should not be bratty, especially right now. Slow down your energy and channel it appropriately like the Karate Kid -- wax on, wax off. Be smart! Haste makes waste! You may hear of many people who complain of headaches during this Aries energy simply because Aries rules the head and the head-butting ram. For no reason at all and out of nowhere, the charging ram will stand up against a fence or wall and ram its head up against it ... and I mean hard! BAM! There it goes again! This heady energy could be too much for some people. Watch for individuals complaining of headaches and rubbing their temples. Many Aries will show their temples or foreheads in their hairstyles because it is showing off their creative brain power. The Aries forehead is their family jewels, not their genitalia. Rubbing would signify stress, while showing the forehead (coming the hair back) is like showing off the family jewels. It would be better to use your head wisely instead of banging your head up against a brick wall . . and that includes not wasting your time arguing with people or trying to change people because it would be like banging your head up against a brick wall. PUT YOUR MASK ON FIRST - TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF before you assist others. This Chiron in Aries energy lasts until April 14, 2027 long after this New Moon in Aries is over, so I suggest you get use to taking care of yourself. Remember, this New Moon in Aries begins a new cycle in the area of your chart ruled by Aries. This cycle lasts an entire year until the next New Moon in Aries in 2020. The half-way point to that New Moon will be 6 months from now when the Full Moon in Aries arrives on Thursday, October 1, 2020. This reminds me of what Maximus Decimus Meridius said at the beginning of the movie, 'Gladiator'. He said, "Three weeks from now, I will be harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so." Well this New Moon in Aries says, "Six months from now, I will be harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so." The really great news is we have these two (2) awesome aspects hitting in four (4) days that have already been present since March 18th and 20th respectively and they will last until April 5th and 6th respectively. While some of you see things as bleak, there are others who find opportunity exactly where they are sitting and take advantage of that opportunity . . . much like myself using ZOOM for virtual classes, which is what so many are doing right now with their business and learning. Step it up folks or get left behind. This is no time to whine, cry or curl up in the fetal position and suck your thumb. The New Moon in Aries is a warrior and it is trail blazer! Now listen, that nasty aspect that was exact yesterday is still very much present and alive. This is the EXACT ASPECT that Hillary Clinton has, and it is also an aspect that Taylor Swift has it as well but her, which is squaring her nodes and both planets are at the exact 10 degree of separation. They 'have to be' within 10 degrees to be considered a conjunction and her's is right at 10 degrees, while Hillary Clinton's is exact. You always 'get to' choose how you want to use these aspects. Sadly this coronavirus will bring out the worst in some people using 'the beast' aspect and awesomely for others it will bring out the best in them thereby taking full advantage of the two (2) trines of Venus trine Jupiter and Venus trine Pluto.
