The BIG NEWS today is the Sun square Neptune (at 29 degrees). THERE IT IS FOLKS! MASTERY!!! The '29th degree' is the 'anaretic degree', also known as the 'karmic degree'. It is the final degree of a planet, which is mastery. Woot Woot! And today both the Sun in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces are at 29 degrees.

But hold on one strawberry pickin' minute, Neptune is in Pisces until January 26, 2026, how can this 29th degree be occurring now? Because on Tuesday - July 2, 2024 Neptune in Pisces will turn 'Retrograde' and retrace its steps, moving over the 29th, 28th and 27th degrees, where it will then turn 'Direct' on December 8, 2024. A couple of weeks later when the Sun in Sagittarius reaches 27 degrees, then we will see the Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces, just as we are seeing it square today, only with Gemini.

The Sun square Neptune has been pretty much resulted in a bloated belly for Gemini's and Sagittarian's. When Neptune first entered Pisces, it squared the earlier degreed Gemini's and Sagittarian's. Now Neptune is in the later degrees and it is squaring the later degree Gemini's and even some earlier degree Cancer's and Capricorn's simply because it is so close to the end of the transit. YIKES! Watch for the muffin-tops because it will happen unless you choose not to feed the muffin.

This aspect is the placement of the bloated belly or inflated ego because the Sun is the 'identifier'. The Sun square Neptune can lean either way (belly or ego) since the Sun rules our identity, where we shine, and how much we shine. LOOK AT ME, which means this aspect can be rechanneled from the bloated belly (see me) to more of a stage presence (see me).

It takes Neptune about 165 to make the full circle through each sign, so thankfully the illusion of Neptune (fantasy, illusion) elbowing Gemini (media, communications) will be over.

NEPTUNE has been in PISCES since April 4, 2011, which will last until January 26, 2026 with a dip into Aries next year from March 31, 2025 until October 23, 2025. That is a 15 year transit of Neptune through Pisces, his home placement. In 2025 late degree Gemini's will experience this square one last time on June 23, 2025 in the 'orb of influence' in separating degrees, but Sagittarius will take a direct 29 degree hit on December 20, 2025.

Pisces naturally SQUARES Gemini and Sagittarius. Gemini and Sagittarius naturally oppose each other, meaning they are opposite signs. A Sun signs squaring signs naturally oppose each other. Read that last line again.

While Neptune in Pisces has been squaring Gemini and Sagittarius, both signs have been suffering from the ol' bloated belly, or the inflated personality, or maybe both. Notice the very first sentence in this write-up, I wrote "(at 29 degrees)". Keep reading, this is juicy stuff . . .

The first decan (0-10 degrees) Gemini and Sagittarius have already lived through this square hitting them exactly, meaning Gemini and Sagittarius who have their Sun between 00 and 10 degrees. The second decan (11-20 degrees) Gemini and Sagittarius have already lived through this square hitting them exactly as well. Now it's the third decan (21-30 degree) Gemini and Sagittarius turn to live out the bloated belly or inflated ego. Which is it? Or is it both? OUCHY! MOM MAKE HER STOP!

Side note, when a planet hits the 29 degree 59 minute 59 second mark, and that next second hits, then 30 degrees is fulfilled, which means it will be 00 degrees into the next sign. You will see 29 degrees 59 minutes on a chart wheel but never 30. You will see 00 degrees 00 seconds instead of 30 degrees because that next second started the next sign and finished the previous sign.

This means Cancers and Capricorns should be aware of this energy now so that you do not fall 'victim' to this energy expanding your body or your ego. LOOK AT ME! SEE ME! YOU CAN'T MISS ME!

If you are an earlier degree Gemini or Sagittarius where the Sun square Neptune has already hit your chart, maybe you are wondering why you never did shed that bloated belly from back then. Maybe what the problem really is, you never really learned your lesson of having a BIG ASS 'EGO'. Could that be the case? When it's the Truth, it shows up everywhere.

It is also important to note that since Neptune is involved, which rules mental health, then depression may show up on the scene. It may not be that way for everyone, but it will be that way for many. DO NOT simply assume depression will be the case for you and then manifest depression. Being hyper-aware of energies is what makes us deal with them more maturely and helps us not to wear these aspects as if they are truly our identity. A bad day, a bad week, and even a bad month doesn't make something True the rest of the year.

Do a self-check-in and perhaps the bloated belly will fall away when the ego does. After all, the Sun naturally rules Leo, which is the sign of ego, pride, humility and leadership. It's all connected! We have to have an ego so we are aware of the 'self' or the 'I' so that we can impact and affect as we were purposed and intended to, but too much of a Good thing, isn't, if we become too self-inflated.

If you are not a Gemini or Sagittarius, then check your chart for Gemini and Sagittarius degrees right at about 29 degrees where this aspect is hitting now. Note - within a handful of degrees counts!

Maybe you are experiencing this 'inflation' of sorts in size or ego and there is a lesson for you. Learn it, shed it and move on. Remember, the chart doesn't lie, only the mouth does.

P.S. - AND NEVER MIX ALCOHOL with an afflicted (challenging) aspect involving Neptune or Jupiter. Don't make me say, "I told'ja so" because I will, I'm like that. Those of you with birth dates in the applying or separating degrees of this aspect, do not play games with alcohol. You will lose and it won't be the extra weight.
