The BIG NEWS today is the two (2) 'hard' or 'uneasy' lunar aspects presented in the list above. The Moon is in aggressive, assertive and competitive Aries squaring both Mercury (mind) and Mars (aggressive). While you might say, "Hey, it's not a race!" or "It's not a competition!" It most certainly is to some people, depending on what 'it' is. Mars is the natural ruling of planet of Aries, so that square is like Aries punching itself in the face forcing its own way in, or out.

The day begins with the Moon (emotions) in Aries squaring Mars in Capricorn, which proves to be unstable and emotionally volatile. Wow, what a way to start the day. It's likely blowing up won't help and that will only make things worse. If you choose to blow up, because it is a choice, then you will be revealing a weakness to those around you. Feel better now? Drink some water and cool down before you lose your 'self' and make a name for yourself that you didn't intend or think through. This aspect is quick tempered and intolerant. Don't be one of 'those people' who claim tolerance while being completely intolerant of others view, stance, position, beliefs or ideas.

P.S. - you don't have to tolerate BS. Even Jesus took a whip, swung it around, and turned over some tables. He sure did!

As the Moon square Mars continues on for 12 to 14 hours after exactness in its 'orb of influence', the Moon in Aries squaring Mercury in Capricorn enters the picture in its 12 to 14 hour 'orb of influence' before exactness. So these two (2) energies are overlapping each other. GREAT! Remember, lunar aspects have a 12 to 14 hour 'orb of influence' 'before' and 'after' their exactness.

The Moon squaring Mercury spends too much time in mental conflict for no Good reason, and then invites or instigates conflict when it's not necessary. Why? Why be argumentative, difficult, uncompromising and unreasonable when its not necessary? Why do that to YOURSELF? While you might think your bold and scary self is putting others on notice, you might want to rethink that position because the 'reveal' would be on your end. OUCHY! MOM MAKE HER STOP!

The Moon square Mercury is rocking the boat and thinks it's on the 'outsmart wagon'. This aspect operates as a cranky pants and takes everyone with it. That's not fair. And the interesting thing is this aspect will claim that it is being treated unfairly. This day can easily end up with someone saying, "Make your own damn dinner!"

Now let's have a little chart lesson. It'll be fun! Pull your charts out and blow the dust off of them. Actually, you should have a picture of your chart on your phone so you can always look at it when I bring up some self-study.

Mind you, we ALL have Aries in our charts. All of us! Aries in your Natal Chart will either have planets in its sign, or Aries might rule a house cusp, or maybe the Aries in your chart will show up as an 'interception' and land between two (2) house cusps with no planets in Aries causing it to appear as though you don't have any Aries energy, but it's there. Maybe you have an 'interception' with planets.

When Aries shows up as an 'interception', you may or may not have planets in Aries, but regardless you will need to do everything you can to pull that Aries out of your chart and use it because it means the energy literally 'fell between the cracks', meaning it fell between two (2) houses and does not sit on a house cusp. It can make it appear as though you are a missing that sign, and its opposite sign.

Think of interceptions as a child that falls between the cracks and their identity, gifts, skills or talents go unrealized, unnoticed or untapped, unless of course someone comes along and says, "I see you!" I'm the one that says, "I see you!" to someone's interception and calls it out. "HEY! I SEE YOU!" What you are supposed to do is find the planet that naturally rules that sign and focus on that planet's energy to pull out the 'intercepted sign'.

If you have an 'interception' in your chart (in Aries), then you would find Mars in your chart, no matter what sign it is in, and use that energy to pull the Aries energy out of your chart. Interceptions are super-common, and I mean super-dooper common, and if I wrote your Expansive Natal Charts then I wrote a whole section about it in your chart in your 'Chart Configuations and Graphics' file. I literally typed out every single house cusp, line-by-line, so you could follow along and see where the energy fell between the cracks. I don't have a software program that does that, I do that for you.

So if you have one (1) interception, it means you have two (2) interceptions, with the other one on the other side of the chart wheel in the opposite sign because the chart wheel has to balance itself out. It also means you have two (2) signs that rule two (2) house cusps because two (2) other signs fell between the cracks. Cool huh? Pull your charts out, blow the dust off of them and study yourself.

Check that link to see an 'interception'. That is the chart wheel from the New Moon in Capricorn on January 11, 2024. Now folks, keep in mind this chart wheel was calculated with the coordinates of New York, NY. Notice in the perimeter you will see all twelve (12) Sun Signs. Notice that Pisces falls between the cracks in the 2nd house and Virgo falls between the cracks in the 8th house. Neither Pisces or Virgo rule a house cusp in this chart wheel with these coordinates. Since these two (2) signs did not rule a house cusp, then two (2) other signs doubled up to cover their ass. So you see Gemini ruling the 5th and 6th house cusp and Sagittarius ruling the 11th and 12th house cusps. They are opposite signs as well. Cool huh?

So you might say, "Well since Pisces fell between the cracks and is ruled by Neptune, which is also between the cracks, how do I pull out the Pisces energy if its ruling planet is between the cracks too?" Then look for Jupiter because Jupiter is Pisces ancient ruling planet, as Neptune is Pisces modern day ruling planet. That's the fix for Pisces, Jupiter! The fix for Virgo, is Mercury.
