Venus sextile Neptune can send romance overflowing and overboard being so optimistic, hopeful and Pollyannish about Love, that it is unrealistic and starry-eyed. That's a great way to get disappointed or worse, it's a Good way to get hurt. Who can live up to heightened romance on a daily basis? Even Jennifer Lopez doesn't have this aspect. That woman lives to be in Love, but is also fickle in Love (Venus in Gemini).

Pollyanna doesn't know what the hell is going on in the world, not really, because Pollyanna is just in Love and glowing with optimism and pretty quotes. Nevermind the hellion surrounding this aspect, she just wants to hold hands and sing 'Kumbya'.

Venus sextile Neptune also has a 'spiritual influence' due to the connection with Nep-tune. Keep in mind that sextiles last a very short period of time. Very short!
