VENUS SEXTILE NEPTUNE
This is an easy aspect showing cooperation between two planets which leads to opportunity. It has a positive blending effect on the planets. Sextiles are considered a "soft" or "easy" aspects that reflect the planets involved. They have a way of delivering you an opportunity. It's as if the phone is ringing or there is a knock at the door. Again, it is your choice to answer the opportunity. Opportunities can reveal themselves under the strangest of circumstances.
It is important to understand that Venus rules Love, beauty and relationships. Venus is aesthetic, artistic and romantic, while Neptune is spiritual, dreamy, imaginative, creative and has escapist tendencies. Neptune is also the higher octave of Venus.
This aspect reveals a romantic and gentle partner who likes to share creative pursuits in relationships. This is an easy aspect showing cooperation between two planets, which leads to opportunity. It has a positive blending effect on the planets.
It has an artistic imagination with all the makings for an exceptional artist. There is most certainly skill at the fingertips that is fed from imagination.
Venus sextile Neptune can send romance overflowing and overboard being so optimistic, hopeful and Pollyannish about Love, that it is unrealistic and starry-eyed. That's a great way to get disappointed or worse, it's a Good way to get hurt. Who can live up to heightened romance on a daily basis? Even Jennifer Lopez doesn't have this aspect. That woman lives to be in Love, but is also fickle in Love (Venus in Gemini).
Pollyanna doesn't know what the hell is going on in the world, not really, because Pollyanna is just in Love and glowing with optimism and pretty quotes. Pollyanna does not see the rebellion-hellion and secret lives that people lead, who are living their lives trying to latch on to people like her, and all she just wants to do is hold hands and sing 'Kumbya'.
Venus sextile Neptune also has a 'spiritual influence' due to the connection with Nep-tune. Keep in mind that sextiles last a very short period of time. Very short! Sextiles have an 'orb of influence' of 04 degrees, which means the energy lasts about 3 or 4 days before the aspect is exact and 3 or 4 days after the aspect is exact. It's a small window of Loveliness. Then it's over. The honeymoon is over. That's reality. You always come back home after vacation. Right! You come back to your bills, the family, the structure, work, driving in traffic, uggggh. You get me?
Before you lay heavy expectations on your partner, you might want to think twice about the level of consuming Love and attention that you might need. We often see consuming Love and silly fantasy expectations around Valentine's Day.
When I first met my Scorpion King, I let him know to never buy me flowers. Flowers die. Instead, if he ever felt compelled to buy me flowers, just hand me the money. Don't even bother with a card, just give me the money for that too. Seriously. I will handwrite a card on a blank piece of typing paper before I will spend money on a card that is written in someone else's thoughts and words. Although I do LOVE LOVE LOVE blank stationary because you can write handwritten notes. What can I say, "I'm a Gemini!" We Gemini's are handwriters, note takers and born secretaries.
Enjoy this Pollyanna aspect of Venus sextile Neptune, yet at the same time be very mindful. YOU MUST be mindful of the landmines (people) who could blow up your Life while they are blowing up theirs. Stay on YOUR path.
DO NOT fall blindly into a Pollyanna disposition that you are not well-aware of the landmines around you. Certainly have fun, be happy, and enjoy yourself, but also keep your wits about you and keep some people at an arms reach.
