The Moon in Capricorn conjunct the Sun in Capricorn at 5:27 PM EST at 09 degrees 44 minutes. This is the New Moon in Capricorn when the Moon and the Sun are in the same sign.

We began the month of December with a New Moon in Sagittarius on December 1, 2024 and end the month of December with a New Moon today December 30, 2024. Since every two (2) weeks there is a Full Moon, then a New Moon, then a Full Moon, then a New Moon, these two (2) New Moons were separated by the Full Moon in Gemini on December 15, 2024, which would have been that two (2) week separation. New Moon Dec, 1st, Full Moon Dec. 15th, New Moon Dec. 30th. It's a pattern, like clockwork.

Today the Moon in Capricorn conjuncts the Sun in Capricorn and creates a New Moon in Capricorn. Conjunction junction what's your function? The function of this conjunction is FRESH STARTS AND NEW BEGINNINGS. The New Moon is just as the name implies under the energy of the signs involved, which in this case is Capricorn. "I use therefore I am". Capricorn could also probably carry the motto, "I work therefore I am".

Conjunctions are when two (2) planets are sitting side-by-side in the same degree and same sign. The 'orb of influence' counts if they are within 10 degrees of each other. Conjunctions intensify the energy of the planets involved. In this case, it is the Moon and the Sun intensifying each other, which creates the NEW MOON. If the Sun and the Moon were in opposite signs, it would a FULL MOON. Big difference!

New Moons are a time of fresh starts and new beginnings. It's wonderful energy. Since it is Capricorn Season, which rules the highest point of the chart (the mountain, the top of the ladder, top of the food chain), this would be the career, profession, occupation, craft, vocation, rank in society, status in the community, fame, recognition, and what you are known for above all else.

This New Moon is mildly aspected by a sesquisquare (also known as a sesquiquadrate) coming directly from Uranus Rx in Taurus. It's a hard aspect, but not as sharp and painful as catching yourself on the corner of a square. That'll leave a mark! The sesquisquare coming from Uranus Rx in Taurus is mildly causing tension and concern with career and money.

The square to the North Node in Aries is mildly causing tension with the self - me, myself and I. The North Node and the Moon/Sun conjunction is separated by nearly 09 degrees. If it were 10 degrees of separation it wouldn't of even counted. We began this year with a New Moon in Capricorn on January 11, 2024 and on that chart wheel the North Node squaring the Moon/Sun conjunction at exactly 20 degrees. So you see, this is a much better New Moon in Capricorn ending the year than it was starting this year.

The BIGGEST attention-getter of this chart is the ever present energies of Mars opposing Pluto and Jupiter square Saturn that will just not go away. And both are only separated by one (1) degree so these two (2) aspects are very much loud and present in this chart.

Mars is a personal planet, Pluto is a generational planet. Jupiter and Saturn are both transpersonal aka social planets, that bridge the gap between the personal planets and the generational planets. So the aspects below are impacting us closer to home than they are outside of ourselves. The outer planets carry energy from outside forces and land that energy on our doorstep, even if we were not the cause of the energy. Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are all outer planets. The outer planets have a generational impact.

Notice the people around you, if they are sharing their personal Life with you, everyone is going through something personal, and yet we are all in it together. Everyone is getting punched in the face differently than the next person, and yet, we can relate to each other because we are all being punched in the face.

Some people have been down for a while being punched over and over again and don't know the difference. It's just the same day different area of the face. There will always be those laying in the shallow portion of the river thinking they are drowning when all they have to do is stand up. I'm not talking about them.

As Jesus said, "The poor will always be with you." Meaning, the individuals who just can't get their Life together. The actual quote from Jesus was, The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me." This is because He was preparing to go to the Father.

It's always important to remember the Capricorn motto, "I use therefore I am." Capricorn is indeed the utilitarian of the zodiac; therefore Capricorn knows how to use people and things to their advantage. There is nothing wrong with this as long as you stand in integrity. The word 'integrity' is a Capricorn word. You will ALWAYS hear a Capricorn use this word.

The word 'using', just the way it sounds (use people) that could make you feel guilty about it but, it's the Truth. All too often too many people do not USE THEIR RESOURCES including people they know. It's not your problem, it's your gift. It's only your problem if YOU don't follow Capricorn Law which is, "I use therefore I am." And stand in integrity! All you have to do is stand in the 'i' word - Integrity.

People want to be 'used' meaning 'utilized', not used and discarded. Big difference. I know, you know, what I mean. How many times have you said to someone, "Why didn't you ask me?" People want to be utilized!!!

Capricorn is the utilitarian of the zodiac and doesn't even like to have useless things laying around. It's no secret, I have a Moon in Capricorn and Saturn in Capricorn. I think I'm the biggest utilitarian on the planet, and the most prepared. Whatever I have, buy, own or want, it has to have utility, which in turn means collectibles, knick-knacks, souvenirs, trinkets, curios, novelties and tchotchkes are just not my bag. They are dust magnets to me. I would rather spend my money on a $40 stainless steel All-Clad spatula.

Capricorn DOES NOT waste money, in fact, whatever they do purchase has to have longevity, a great warranty, 5 star reviews, and it has to be weight (substance). No plastic, laquer and faux finishes. Whatever Capricorn purchases needs to stand the test of time. By the way, Capricorn rules time and is 'father time'. For this reason, Capricorn typically owns the finest watches and clocks.

This New Moon in Capricorn has a lot going for it. It is a born mountain climber who knows only one direction, and that is UP. Whether that is the corporate ladder, the bank account, the status in the community, rank in society, winner winner chicken dinner, Capricorn is set on moving up in the world.

Here is an interesting fun fact about Capricorn, as with any sign, there are a couple of different camps of Capricorns. Some Capricorns will be very flashy in their style and Lifestyle making sure everyone knows what they have, while other Capricorns will keep their personal style and Lifestyle exactly what it is, personal. They will be very practical, prudent and private believing that the only people who need to know what they have, are the people who need to know what they have.
