I was wondering about myself and if I really do think this way or think that I think this way. So I asked my daughter her take on how she was raised. I am a person who cringes when a sentence is prefaced with a color. During my doctoral studies, I dissected many human bodies and I can tell you, the liver is on the right and the spleen is on the left, in everyone. Sure, sometimes there is a congential anomaly, but pretty much, it is the same for everyone. You peel back the skin on any human being and BELIEVE OR NOT, everyone looks the same. Even more, we all pull our pants down the same way and use the restroom. But culture, that's where we are so different.

So back to my daughter, I asked her if she was raised seeing culture or color and if she thought color mattered to me. She said, "culture" and then reminded me when she brought her girlfriend over for the first time, her only concern was that I liked her and that she liked me. It didn't even cross her mind to preface the meeting with a skin color. My daughter's girlfriend is now her wife and you see, my daughter-in-law is Black and American Indian. My daughter by the way is Mexican and American Indian. Such a beautiful multi-cultural house! I LOVE THAT!

For my undergrad, I chose a University whose focus was multi-cultural studies, so the curriculum involved multi-culture required classes to graduate, as all colleges and universities have their curriculum requirements.

I attribute this to my Jupiter in Aquarius, which is so cultural-focused. I would like to see every culture walking around in their native cultural dress. I think that would be so freakin' cool. We would all learn so much from each other. I'm Catholic so I would even like to see the priests in their vestments with sandals and long beards. But you see, that's Jupiter, which rules religion, philosophy, higher learning and world travel and cultural studies. So it rings my bell when I see someone embrace their native culture, even if they were not raised around it, in that country or on that continent. I happen to Love cultural embrace. So we are currently in Jupiter in Aquarius until May 13, 2021 where it will then move into Pisces and then Retrograde on June 20, 2021 and then take us back into Jupiter in Aquarius on July 28, 2021 until December 28, 2021 where it will re-enter Pisces. So folks, if you have something to say about seeing commercials and print ads mixed with a diverse group of skin colors, in my world I say, "It's about f'ing time people get use to seeing people as people." GET USE TO IT because people are people and if you are only seeing skin color, then maybe therein lies some of the problem.

What people really ought to rebel against is the FREAKIN' ADVERTISERS who are now showing us who they are!!! If they are just now mixing up their advertising with diversity, then HELLOOOOOO, they are the guilty party who was being so non-inclusive and tell you what you can or can't see. THEY ARE THE ONES who control what you see. And know they are selling the wears/wares of color, not culture. Talk about certain cultures being used. AGAIN!

I think EVERY CULTURE needs to clean-up their act. Hell yeah! As a Native American tribal citizen, we have our share of health issues like Diabetes and heart disease, not to mention there is an alcohol and drug abuse problem, as well as domestic abuse. My niece is championing an entire domestic abuse awareness program among natives in Cherokee, NC my homeland and where my family lives and which is my offical address. It's where I vote! She is even on a billboard in Cherokee. It's a cultural thing that needs to be cleaned-up, as so many other tribes need to do. Think of your own culture and what you can do to clean-up their self-destruction. That's what it is. Self-destruction. Come on Jupiter in Aquarius . . open the eyes of God's children. We 'get to' look at ourselves and recognize what we need to learn and look at different with fresh eyes. If you were looking to take up a new project, study, lesson or creative outlet, this is the perfect time to get it started and come together with others. Jupiter in Aquarius is assisting in this effort. Jupiter naturally rules the 9th house of CULTURES and global awareness, while Aquarius is the friendliest sign of the zodiac, which rules friends, organizations and groups of people. There are lots of people who are confused, especially when they think color, but really mean culture. There are some learned behaviors and beliefs that simply need to change on everyone's part. I'm tellin' you folks, its cultural awareness and some cultures need new leaders because they are hurting and killing themselves and each other. I can say with certainty, as a tribal citizen, the Native American population is one of them. I doubt there is one culture spared.

Especially while Jupiter in Aquarius is present in and out of this year, look at how you act and react to color and culture. Maybe there is a shift that needs to occur. Certainly their are racists in the world . . absolutely there is . . and there probably always will be . . . and while that is so, there comes a time when we still have to look within and address how you really feel and what kind of energy you are putting out there and what you are teaching your young.
