Father, today's scripture is an enlightening one (as they all are) although this one reveals Your Light so well with the mere mention of fire. That purifying, cleansing and enlightening Fire that is often times misunderstood as a consuming and destroying fire rather than transformative and refining that burns the dirt off gold and melts it down to its finest liquid element. It reminds me of the time You appeared to Moses on Mt. Sinai as Fire (the Burning Bush) when you told Moses your name was, "I AM".
I have often wondered why people cannot simply get along and why would someone say to another person, "I Love you like a sister" or "brother" when in actuality they don't get along with their brother or sister at all. Even more, I've done the same thing. This scripture makes perfect sense and it's no wonder that you came to bring division between families to teach us how to get along with one another. And it's no wonder that 'typically' family members can not discuss religion or politics without someone getting loud and upset. We need to learn how to get along in our own families before we can even begin getting along and healing relationships outside of the home and family. It's no wonder that so many relationships, marriages and partnerships are twisted and chaotic because the foundation of what each individual learned about relationships goes back to the family foundation of relationships. This is tough Father, this is a tough one for so many people and at times, it has been tough for me as well.
Father, help me to heal the old wounds within my own family before I make any judgments, assumptions or perceptions about others motivations, intentions or issues about relationships. I now understand how the purifying fire that Jesus brought comes in many forms and the great need there is for a family to cleanse, purge and refine itself, purifying like gold, generation after generation. I understand how Jesus would Love to see the earth blazing we all stepped up to the plate and chose to put themselves in the purifying fire and burned off the woundology once and for all.
Thank you Father, thank you for the enlightenment you have shown me today and how we need to heal the wounds between ourselves and our own family members and radiate the fire within from that space first. If we all start with ourselves and our own family, the entire world would heal itself and the earth would be blazing just as Jesus wished.

49 "I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!
50 There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished!
51 Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
52 From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three;
53 a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
