Father, from today's reading below I recognize that I need to be more mindful of when I may be trying to discuss matters with someone who is simply not interested. Whether that person may not be the person I am supposed to be chatting with at the time or whether that person is just not ready, I need to recognize when to back off so that I do not leave the conversation angry, hurt or uncomfortable. I have engaged in conversations where I was left feeling less than I should have simply because we did not agree. I recognize that I need to learn when to just dial it down, when to just walk away and when to seek a more interested and open ear. The disinterested person may not be my audience or I may not be the one who is supposed to reach that individual. I get that. Knowing that my audience is those who are interested and will appreciate what I am saying helps in my understanding. The enlightenment for others may come in another form or through another teacher and that should be okay. Thank You for this awareness today and letting me know there are times when it will be necessary to just walk away and I should not try so hard to give to those who may not appreciate it or be ready for it.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke
Luke 7:6, 12-14
6 "Do not give what is Holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.
12 Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.
14 How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few."

Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ
