Father, it has not been easy for me to be kind to my enemies much less Love them. I now understand through study of the Scripture below that this actually liberates my spirit and it also calls me to a higher skill set, not to mention I can be an example for others. If I only Love those who Love me or if I only greet kindly those who greet me, then what's so great about that? Even bad people can do that. It's hardly anything to brag about when I can't take it to a higher level than what is typical for humans. When I only Love those who Love me or greet only those who greet me then it just goes to shows that I didn't call myself to a higher level. It means I did less than what I was called to do. Thank you for this awareness today.

Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~

Matthew 5:38-42

[Jesus said to them . . . ] 38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'

39 But I say to you, offer no resistance to one who is evil. When someone strikes you on (your) right cheek, turn the other one to him as well.

40 If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic, hand him your cloak as well.

41 Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles.

42 Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn your back on one who wants to borrow.
