How do I demonstrate my view or attitude toward children?
"It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men."~Frederick Douglass
My children (insert names) are healthy, happy and protected at all times.
For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.
Father, thank You for this wonderful reminder in today's reading how much Jesus enjoyed and Loved the children. While the disciples would have rather concealed the little children from Jesus because they were noisy, Jesus insisted that the little children come to Him and even sit on His lap. Jesus saw everyone as God's children, the young and old alike. It reminds me of the fact that no matter how old I am, I will always be my parents child. That will never change. Maybe this is what it is like for You. I admit, I could do a better job in having patience with children. After all, a 4 year old has only been on the planet for 4 years and has a 4 year old brain with 4 years of Life experience. The same goes for a 7 year old or 10 year old or 12 year old. Thank You for making me more aware of the children around me and my Parent/child relationship with You.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
Matthew 19:13-15
13 Then children were brought to Him that He might lay His hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked them,
14 but Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
15 After He placed His hands on them, He went away.
