Yerba Santa is a mild but useful decongestant. It is used for all forms of bronchial congestion. The yerba santa plant grows in dry areas California, Oregon and northern Mexico. It is an aromatic shrub, and its flowers are white and lavender.
Used for chest congestion, purifying the blood and stimulates the salivary glands and other digestive secretions. Native Americans use the fresh or dried leaves as a poultice for broken and unbroken skin conditions. It is also used for arthritis, rheumatism and swelled areas of the body. Also used for sores and hay fever. A treatment for coughs, colds, asthma, tuberculosis and fevers. It is also used to treat hemorrhoids
Generally regarded as safe but may cause diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, otherwise no significant side effects have yet been reported. Avoid using if pregnant or nursing.

Food flavoring; relieves colds (and related illnesses) and hemorrhoids. Use as directed by your healthcare provider.
