DESCRIPTION: The Melissa plant is a perennial herb native to Europe and Asia and the name Melissa is derived from the Greek word for honey. Different species derived from the Melissa plant include Melissa Officinalis or Lemon balm, Melissa Nepeta or Calamint, Melissa Pulegioides or Pennyroyal
POTENTIAL BENEFITS: There are a variety of uses depending upon the species of Melissa that is taken. This plate can be used for colds, respiratory illnesses, digestive issues, cramps, and headaches. Can also be used topically for cold sores and skin irritations.
POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS: When taken via mouth some plant species will have side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and dizziness.
