Figwort has a hormone-like effect on the body and has been found to treat many conditions of the entire body.
Figwort has been used as a poultice for areas on the skin such as ulcers, piles, glandular areas on the neck, sores, wounds and on the outer jaw for a toothache. It has also been used as an effective painkiller in a pinch.

Figwort has been used to treat abrasions, anxiety, athlete's foot, burns, cradle cap, cuts and wounds, digestive problems, eczema, fever, hemorrhoids, impetigo, insomnia, kidney dysfunction, to increase menstrual flow, nightmares, restlessness, nervousness, skin problems and worms.
