Blackberry has long been used as a tea to dry up sinus drainage. This is because the blackberry root has astringent properties that cause tissue to contract and relax. Indians used this blackberry root when the someone or the whole tribe would come down with dysentery. And the Chinese have used the blackberry root to increase the "yin" in the body, which increases energy.
Blackberry gives energy to the body, good for gum diseases and bowel conditions. Also great for the sinuses.
