The last Download from God™ was, Hold Your Head Up

This morning's Musical DLG™ (Download from God™) called, 'Just Like Heaven' by The Cure is a song that the Scorpion King and I really Love. We like to sing to it, we like to dance to it and we like to workout to it, so when this song came in as my Musical DLG™ I felt as though God was smiling down on our relationship.

My relationship with the Scorpion King is pretty dang unique. Both of us are incredibly independent people who were forever-single before we met each other. The great thing is we give each other plenty of room to be ourselves, with each other, and without each other. This song reminds me of the humor that we have in our relationship. It's kinda 'sick' humor that often times involves poking fun of each other. My Scorpion King does voice impressions, facial impressions and walking impressions so well that I think he should try stand-up. His walking impressions absolutely kill me. Sometimes when I'm being over-serious (since I am the more serious of the two) he will get up and walk away with one of his walking impressions and it just rolls me out of my chair laughing. The very first time I talked with him on the phone he sprung a few impressions on me and made me laugh so hard. He doesn't do impressions very often, and definitely won't do them on command, but when he does do them, it tickles my funny bone and leaves me wanting more.

This song reminds me so much of us and the joy that we have with each other. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of days where we can't stand each other, but most of the time, it's just like heaven.
