The last Download from God™ was, Waiting, Waiting On You

This morning's Musical DLG™ (Download from God™) called, 'True' by Spandau Ballet is a song that always reminds me of my daughter. My daughter use to sing this song all the time as a little 3 year old. She would sing it EVERYWHERE! "Ha-ha-ha, ha-ah-hi, I know this much is true." Over and over again she would sing this same line. "Ha-ha-ha, ha-ah-hi, I know this much is true." It sounded so sweet coming out of a little tiny girl's mouth no matter how many times she belted it out as I pushed her around in the grocery cart. "Ha-ha-ha, ha-ah-hi, I know this much is true." If it didn't remind me of my daughter, I probably wouldn't have been motivated to listen to the words. So when I this song came to me this morning, I knew exactly what the song was about.

The guy who wrote the song was attempting to pen a song to his girlfriend and was having a hard time coming up with his True feelings. He wished that he could write a song like Marvin Gaye that expressed his True feelings (who he pays tribute to in the song). He knew "this much is True" but just couldn't find the right words. Interestingly enough, just writing his Truth, which was that he couldn't quite find the right words was Truth enough to make the song one of the most popular songs in 1983. Even though this song was #1 on many charts world-wide, it is also a song that is on a list of the worst songs EVER!

It makes me wonder if Life really would be that simple if we all just stood in our Truth, even if we don't know what to say or how to say it. I'm thinking this Musical DLG™ is telling me to just be True to myself and do what it is that I have been contemplating doing anyway. (winky wink)
