GLUTATHIONE

DESCRIPTION: Glutathione is a tri-peptide made up of three amino acids (cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine). It is a key element that prevents the formation of free radicals.
POTENTIAL BENEFITS: It helps protect against environmental toxins such as; radiation, smoking, x-rays, alcohol poisoning and the side-effects of chemotherapy treatments. It is said to have anti-aging properties. This may mean that if it helps to eliminate environmental toxins, then the body's cells may not age as quickly due to damage.
SOURCES: It is present in all cells in both plants and animals.
