Since Pluto will be in Capricorn only 2-1/2 more years, then it stands to reason that Pluto is now in its final few degrees and the Sun in Taurus is in the final few degrees because the Sun changes signs tomorrow (Friday). This aspect is sneaking its way in before the Sun moves into Gemini.

This aspect has a lot of power behind it. Think of how HUGE the Sun is and the power behind it. We know Jupiter is massive, but it is nothing in size compared to the Sun. When you look at a graphic of our Solar System (Solar = Sun), so our 'Sun System', you will see just how massive the Sun is in relation to the other planets. You will also see how massive the planet Jupiter is next to Pluto. It's fascinating.

Back to the Sun trine Pluto . . when we think of Pluto, even though it is a dwarf planet, it packs quite a punch, so we always think power = Pluto. This trine brings more power to those who are already powerful, but it also gives power to those who are powerless (or helpless). Everyone gets a leg up with this aspect. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, those who are in a position of leadership gain more power, especially those who are within 08 degrees of this aspect with their Sun in Taurus. What those who are 'Graced' with this power do with it is another story.

Even those who are power'less' will grow some guts and are able to stand up for themselves. There is a heightened concentration 'in the spirit' of individuals, which makes them ready to take action. This aspect is most definitely action-oriented. It does not really sit on its ass or twiddle its thumbs.

I believe just as Jesus stated above, that God dishes out the power and then watches to see just how well we handle it. This gives, "Be careful what you wish for" a whole new meaning. Dont'cha think? I always say to God, "Go ahead, test me on winning the lottery. I'm willing for you to use me as a guinea pig to see how well I handle it." (winky wink)

The Sun trine Pluto is a fantastic aspect if you wish to upgrade, change and evolve into a better person. Even if you are not interested in leading others, or being in a leadership position, this can help in your own personal agenda to better yourself.

The Sun naturally rules Leo, which is ALWAYS concerned about growth and self-improvement. After all, everything grows toward the Sun. But let's not forget, the mark of a really great leader is NOT making it all about themselves (that's just ego), instead the mark of a really great leader 'empowers' others to see the greatness in themselves.

This is where the Sun can go dark, when ego sets-in and there is a fall from Grace or an embarassing situation. Watch the ego when the Sun is shining. The Universe will not respond well or take a liking to taking advantage of others when 'Graced' with this aspect. Again, the alternative is a 'fall from Grace'.

Think of moving meditations to heighten perception and stimulate the senses. This may show up as walking, yoga, tai chi, hiking or some other form of spiritual moving meditation that can help with hindsight, foresight and insight.

Mercury also sextiles Jupiter today, which thoroughly enjoys intellectual pursuits. Games, trivia, reading, extended or expanded education, documentaries and the like are hot topics during this aspect. This includes libraries, bookstores, museums or even traveling to places where there is much learn. You may get creative on how you give or receive intellectual information.

This aspect is the placement or multi-cultural studies, which might include travel to foreign places, foreign cuisine and even writing and publishing on a world-wide stage either blogging, websites or even publishing a book.

I do not have Mercury sextile Jupiter natally, but I do have Jupiter in Aquarius, which takes Mercury sextile Jupiter to a higher-level and e-x-p-a-n-d-s the heck out of it.
