The BIG NEWS today is Mercury in Cancer quincunx Saturn in Pisces and the The Sun in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus. This really is an interesting collection of energies pushing us toward growth and change. After all, the Sun is all about growth and change.

Mercury quincunx Saturn, no matter how you slice it, directs us to grow, take responsibility and accountability. This requires action and movement. Ya' gotta do something. Mercury is the co-ruler of Gemini and Virgo, which are both organizers in different ways for different reasons.

Gemini is a communicator, writer, reporter, messenger, marketer, promoter, salesperson and teacher, while Virgo works in physical health where details are important - doctor, trainer, nutritionist, herbalist, a chef (not a cook) or in another area of work where details are important - accounting, bookkeeping, engineering, etc.

Having said that, when Mercury is coupled with Saturn, the planet of 'work', timing, maturity, responsibility, accountability, career, profession, rank and authority, this aspects requires you to GROW UP and handle it, whatever it is. If you do not grow up and use your noggin' (brains) since Mercury rules Gemini and Gemini rules the brain, then it takes a toll on YOUR physical health (Virgo).

While this aspect has nice thoughts, intentions, goals and objectives, you have to GET UP and get out there and participate. On the Virgo side of this, Virgo REQUIRES participation, otherwise the energy sits in your flesh and on your bones, then takes a toll on your health. The flesh and organs get heavy and pain sets in. The Sun sextile Uranus is a cool aspect to couple with Mercury quincunx Saturn because Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius, while Uranus is the modern day ruler of Aquarius, which is THE MOST inventive and innovative sign of the zodiac. So work and change are involved. You are being directed to use your brains and think your way out of a situation using invention and innovation.

Folks, I'm telling you straight-up, living in the past will NOT help you here. Take for instance some individuals who live every single day in the past - memories, coulda, woulda, shoulda, what they (someone else) did or didn't do, who they were, what they did, and remember when. Ugggh! Imagine all of that laying on your path. How can you see ahead with your vision so crowded with the past? Next thing ya' know, everyone gets blamed for breathing wrong.

Unless you are going to Virgo the past and make a new recipe (the chef) you will sit in the same sh!t different day. That's what you eat (take in) and spew out. Ewwwww! And yep, Virgo rules digestion and the colon. It's all connected folks.

The collection of these two (2) aspects is very very cool and you can morph your past into something new as 'the inventor' rather than just sitting in the past bitching and complaining about who owes you what - money, apology, time, concern, etc. That puts everyone else in the drivers seat of your Life, especially if so much of you moving forward is dependent upon others. DANG!

Let's see some 'reinvention of the self'. Changing your hair color to green or pink is not a reinvention of the self. That's just decoration. I'll give you an example of someone who has done it several times. She may not be your favorite person and you may not like her at all, but she continues to do it and evolve. Miley Cyrus.

She went from Dolly Parton's godchild, to Hanna Montana, to Miley Cyrus herself and that whole mess of change and breakout (wrecking ball), then she was caught on camera doing drugs, then married, got divorced, changed her music (Flowers) and came to this incredible reality check.

Miley says that she has no plans to ever tour again. Now I find THIS fascinating and I LOVE that about her because it's the reason why she says she will never tour again. She says, "Singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn't really the thing that I Love." Further she states, "There's no connection. There's no safety. It's also not natural. It's so isolating because if you're in front of 100,000 people, then you are alone."

And the best part of this interview with Vogue she says, "You're more likely to catch me and my friends literally walking through rose gardens or going to a museum." She further states, "It's not about being self-serious. I've just evolved." And she's still Dolly Parton's godchild.

Re-invention of the self, folks. If you read this article she even talks about touring taking a toll on her health. You see, that whole article is TODAY'S TWO ASPECTS ABOVE. I don't care if you like Miley Cyrus or not, that's not the point, do not get distracted here. Get the point of the example, which is re-invention of the self. Evolve!
