The BIG NEWS today is Venus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn and Mercury in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus. How strange it is that these two (2) major aspects should fall on the same day? Don'tcha ever wonder why the Universe does things like this? I'm a Gemini, so I need to make some sense of this because it is incredibly peculiar that these two (2) aspects should match up and work together, some how, some way.

As a mentator (one who mentates aka thinks), I am aware of the fact that I am in a position to influence the masses through the written or spoken word. Whatever I write or say can easily influence the masses to think in a certain way, which is why I am so intent on strictly interpreting the Astrology and making sure that I remove my emotions and write according to what 'is' and not what I think. I also believe that as a mentator, I can put things in your head (even accidentally), which is why I need to know myself well and be well-aware of what I write. What is my intent? So I do my best to explain things simply and that make the most sense. And I always want to have a more spiritual take on my interpretations.

I look at Venus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn and know how easy it is to get into someone's head by a suggestive image, much less a suggestive word. We see images all the time of celebrities or people on Instagram doing whatever they can to gain attention through suggestive (sexual) means. This is why I chose to use words for the first Astro Meme today rather than a picture. It's bad enough that our imagination runs wild without the help of images to get us there. I have written a lot of charts over the years and I know how easy it is for a few words to turn someone's mind straight into the gutter. Venus square Pluto has a really hard time curbing the desires in relationships. This leads to manipulation in the quest to have the desires fulfilled, particularly sexual and financial desires because Venus rules both relationships and finances. The lesson here is to learn moderation, but the mind and the body want it right now. This aspect can bring up a lot of angst around sex and relationships with a mix of finances. This aspect causes intense emotional and sexual involvements, and sometimes this can be with very debasing influences. In extreme cases, this aspect shows involvement with prostitution or other sex related crimes or rituals. This may also have to do with pornography, infidelity or worse. Sexual passions are hard to control and properly direct and romantic ties are in some way fated. In other words, sometimes events have to unfold in a particular way in order for you to get the full lesson. It certainly doesn't have to be so difficult, but then again, maybe it does in order to get, 'the get'. What you want and seek is not what you need, and obtaining the objective or object creates ill effects.

The fix? This aspect must be controlled by your own free will. But also this is where Mercury sextile Uranus comes into play. When I began this writing I wondered why these two (2) aspects were showing up on the same day. Why would the Universe (God) do that? What was the reasoning behind it? Perhaps the reasoning was to keep our minds busy and our bodies, desires and passions out of the gutter due to the first aspect. You know what they say, "An idle mind is the devil's playground."

So here we have Mercury sextile Uranus, the aspect of 'The Tinker'. Could it be that God (the Universe) gave us this aspect to keep our mind occupied, to keep it from being idle, to keep us out of trouble? Well is sure as hell makes sense to me, and you know in my writings, it has to make sense to me or I don't buy it. That's the way we Gemini's are. You can't just baffle us with bullshit.

Mercury is a fast-acting planet, but Uranus is the higher-octave of Mercury. Mercury rules the weather but Uranus rulestakes the weather to a higher level and rules lightning, storms and fast moving weather. So this combination of planets in a sextile is fast-acting, which creates one fast communicator. This will cause you to be wide-awake, conscious, fully aware and hyper vigilant. Wow! That is exactly what we needed in order to keep our pants on with the first aspect. It's an aspect like this that will keep our brains in our heads thinking clearly rather than our brains being in our pants and acting wildly. Mercury sextile Uranus is absolutely wide-awake and moving quickly.

Since Mercury rules the mind and gadgetry, and Uranus is the higher-octave of Mercury, this aspect leans toward the scientific, electronic, mechanical or even the occult realm. That's because this aspect likes to think, tinker, contemplate and figure things out. This aspect reveals that intellectual abilities are well above average. Mercury sextile Uranus is alert, curious, and well-read on many subjects. The mind is constantly in motion, thinking for oneself in a very independent manner. Logical reasoning goes on in the subconscious mind and solutions come in a flash. Wow, talk about keeping yourself out of a triangulation relationship that would surely land you in hot water.

So you see, I feel like I figured it out, why God (the Universe) gave us this second aspect so that we can keep ourselves under control. As I stated above for the first aspect, "The fix?
