The BIG NEWS today is Saturn in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus at 2:00 PM EST. It is also exact two (2) other times this year on - June 14, 2021 and December 24, 2021. This aspect has been present in applying (approaching) degrees since December 9, 2020 and will last in separating (pulling apart) until March 10, 2022. This means all of those Solar Return's from December 9, 2020 until March 10, 2022 will have this aspect present and active. And note, birth dates between December 9th and March 10th will have this aspect showing up for them twice, simply because it will be present twice from 2020 until 2022 between those dates.

Now those of you with birth dates between December 9, 2020 to March 10, 2021 and December 9, 2021 to March 9, 2022 might stomp your feet, wail and complain, but then it's likely you are already locked into 'not seeing' the gift. Complain if you must and we will see you right back here, exactly where you are right now, next year. Maybe you are the group that needs a second helping in order to 'get the get'. Maybe not. Maybe you are the group that will recognize the gift and take advantage of pulling forward while everyone else is behind. Believe me, there will be a whole collection of people who are just bitching up a storm and will not do one single thing different. There will be some reason why they can't or won't or didn't . . . or doggone it, missed it.

And please, save yourself from jumping into the excited, "I can't wait" group of people. Those who say, "I can't wait" always do wait. They can wait and they do wait. The "I can't wait" people will often never show up for an opportunity because something always happens. The "I can't wait" people usually have false enthusiasm and will miss your invite. In this case, it the Universe's invite.

These aspects that show up for extended periods of time are ALWAYS a gift, but BIG gifts like this are often set aside like a gift certificate that never gets used. I'm telling you, this square is tough and it's also like punching itself in the face. This is because Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius, while Uranus is the modern-day ruler of Aquarius. Basically, they are siblings, one has just been around (Saturn) a lot longer than the other (Uranus). I'm speaking about when these planets were discovered on the 'we see you exist' plane. Uranus was not even discovered until March 13, 1781. Galileo Galilei discovered (or first saw) Saturn through a telescope in 1610. So while both planets are connected to Aquarius, it is important to remember that Aquarius is a 'fixed sign'.

There are four (4) fixed signs - Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio. Aquarius and Leo are opposite signs, and Taurus and Scorpio are opposite signs. They are each a different element. Aquarius is air, Taurus is earth, Leo is fire and Scorpio is water. These four (4) signs collectively represent a Grand Square, as a Grand Square must have all four (4) points in the four (4) different elements. Each of these signs square each other. That means there are two (2) signs that separate two (2) signs. Aquarius and Taurus are separated by Pisces and Aries. Taurus and Leo are separated by Gemini and Cancer. Leo and Scorpio are separated by Virgo and Libra. Scorpio and Aquarius are separated by Sagittarius and Capricorn. Squaring signs are always separated by two (2) signs.

So in this case, Saturn in Aquarius is squaring Uranus in Taurus, as this square is separated by two (2) other signs Pisces and Aries. And it's super-weird that both planets are Aquarian rulerships.

Fixed signs DO NOT like to be wrong. Now come on, who likes to be wrong? No one! But these four (4) signs Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio have a hard time handling that fact. That right there should tell you the description is accurate. What these four (4) signs may not realize is just because you are 'not right' about one thing, does not mean that someone will think you are 'not right' about everything. But that's like talking to a wall. These signs will usually have to learn the hard way because they can only see their way as the right way.

Fixed signs are FIXED because they sit in the middle of each season. There is 'no change' or transition into another season during their sign. There is only one (1) season in their world and it's the season they are in. Got it! Aquarius (Winter), Taurus (Spring), Leo (Summer) and Scorpio (Fall).

The Cardinal signs bring us into the beginning of a season - Aries (Spring), Cancer (Summer), Libra (Fall) and Capricorn (Winter).

The Mutable signs bring us out of a season and into the next season - Gemini (Spring into Summer), Virgo (Summer into Fall), Sagittarius (Fall into Winter) and Pisces (Winter into Spring).

Fixed signs are firmly centered smack-dab in the middle of a season. THEY AREN'T BUDGING or entertaining how another season (energy) could feel. Their season is what they know for sure because they do not even rub up against another season. But hey, not everything falls into 'that' seasons box because there are three (3) other seasons.

Now listen Astrotators, if you can remember that this energy is fixed as in - "This is how it looks to me and I won't budge", then you will be able to get through this energy quicker, better and easier because you will open up your own box and look inside. After all, each of the fixed, cardinal and mutable signs have all four (4) elements present in each sign and each of those signs square each other creating its own Grand Square with is collection of signs. The Cardinal Sun Sign - Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn begin a season. Aries begins Spring, Cancer begins Summer, Libra begins Fall and Capricorn begins Winter. Cardinal signs are at the beginning of a transition. Cardinal signs have the ability to change and adapt.

The Fixed Sun Signs - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are firmly fixed in the middle of a season and are not even close to touching another season. Fixed signs require growth. Too much of a Good thing isn't. Continuity and stability is nice, but how about a little growth?

The Mutable Sun Signs - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are at the end of a season. Gemini ends Spring, Virgo ends Summer, Sagittarius ends Fall and Pisces ends Winter. Mutable signs are at the end of a season. Mutable signs have the attributes of both Fixed and Cardinal signs. Mutable signs finish up with the duties that are common to the season they are in AND they begin to prepare for the change into the new season. So there you have it, Mutable signs are the chameleons and can shift to Fixed or Cardinal since they have the attributes of both. Mutable signs will have the easier time with this Saturn square Uranus aspect.

Having said all of that about the Modes - Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable, this aspect of Saturn in Aquarius squaring Uranus in Taurus is the classic 'opposition to change' and it isn't even an opposition aspect, it's a square! And Saturn and Uranus are like siblings elbowing each other in the back seat. Remember, a square is like a pointed jab in your side like an elbow.

So here's the deal, this is an insane amount of energy and it is rebellious. It is structure (Saturn) facing off with rebellion (Uranus). These two (2) energies could not be more different. Saturn enjoys the structure, discipline and security of what is, and Uranus is about as curious as a cat looking for some action. This aspect is not without controversy. If you decide to get rebellious and take action on this aspect, others may not like how you are stretching yourself beyond what is, while they sit back and watch. Oh well! See ya, see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya'.

This aspect reminds me of the energy back when I was an intern. This same energy was coming into the 'orb of influence' at that time in my Life.

I was called into the Chief of Staff's office for hogging the patient rooms. I worked hard and had more patient's than anyone else, so I was ALWAYS at the scheduling desk booking rooms. I was called into the Chief of Staff's office and he was basically asking me to conform to the pace of others and back off. I asked him if I was breaking any rules because I read the clinic handbook and know exactly what it says. He could not help but smile and then tried to plead their case but I would not have it. I maintained that it was my clinical experience of which I was paying for in tuition and if I was not breaking any rules, then what was the problem? Further, I told him and I'm paraphasing here,

A tiny side note - at graduation the Universe called me out in front of my family, friends and colleagues and rewarded me with 'The Student Doctor Award' and a hefty check of $1000.00 from the Alumni Association. (winky wink)

During this time of Saturn square Uranus, we will see sheeple line up wherever there is a line. People tend to line-up wherever there is a line, even if they don't know what the line is, they have a tendency to get in it. Then there will be a small collection of people watching from across the street wondering how they can make money on those standing in line. Maybe sell them a hat, a rose, a cup of coffee, a hotdog, etc. Maybe since 'the people' will be more engaged in their phone while standing in line, they will not realize what they are being sold through targeted advertising and they will not realize what they are not being told due to censorship. Oh the sheeple! But you are not one of those sheeple . . . right?

I am absolutely encouraging you to STEP OUT OF LINE and BE INDEPENDENT, BE REAL AND TRUE TO YOURSELF. You can be all of these things without turning over cars and setting businesses on fire. You can be rebellious (Uranus) and buck the system (bull) of lining up like cattle (Taurus) and mooing at those moving at their own chosen speed. You can be unique, original and one-of-a-kind (Uranus) without breaking rules, laws, guidelines and regulations. You can think for yourself. Or can you? Or will you?

Saturn does require you to be responsible, practical, mature and disciplined. By nature, I am all of those things as I have Saturn in Capricorn natally along with a Capricorn Moon. I am pretty dang structured and predictable and I will follow the rules. At the same time, I have enough rebellion and free thought (thank you natal chart) to do my own thing regardless of what others think or do. People honestly have no idea how much their judgment of me doesn't matter to me. The 'I could give a damn factor' in my spirit gives no second thought to anyone's judgment. If people only realized how much I don't care. I only care what God thinks. Truly! My audience will find me. If someone is not part of who I am supposed to reach, then they will find their teacher (astrologer). No hard feelings, move along and find your peace.

Folks, you have to be able to think for yourself and then take action. You CAN embrace the rebel, the oddity, the unusual and the unique in Uranus without losing the structure and discipline that Saturn wants you to have. You can do your own thing and be different than anyone else without breaking rules.

I claim to be 'unafraid'. In other words, I do not have a fearful spirit. I am prepared, as best as I can be as that is my nature. But I will tell you what terrifies me THE MOST if I did choose the fearful route . . . it would terrify me to think that three (3) months from now ... much less 6 months . . . or a year from now . . . that my Life would be the same. That everything would be the same as it is. I am ALWAYS looking to progress, not remain the same. You can have structure and the stability, sameness in that sense, while at the same time progressing. Progress is Uranus. Retrogrades give you that first, second and third time to get something right before 'progressing' forward, but the fearful lot will complain, moan and succumb to their fears and gain no traction and will not progress forward.

Gosh, if you only knew how much you have tailored your Life to your fears. Look around and notice what never changes with you because of your fears. And the more fearful you are during Saturn square Uranus, the more you will not progress forward. I do not want to say this but I need to say this, there are so many of you whose lives will look the exact same way next year, even if you are looking for change. You cannot simply 'look' for change. You have to be the change.

I would NOT advise you to throw caution to the wind and sell all of your possessions and live out of car while you find out what you want to do with your Life, but at the same time, that might just work for you. I know an Astrotator who lived in Montana, she sold everything, and drove across the country in an RV with her two (2) teenage sons to start a new Life in Florida. No kidding! She set out last May 2021 and during that time, she began taking Virtual Yoga Classes with my yoga studio during the first pandemic shutdown. By the time she arrived in Florida a couple of months later she was standing on her head. It was awesome watching her trek across the country, doing yoga in her RV or outside at a campsite. She was stable, secure, independent, original and rebellious all rolled in one. Now she lives in a house, has a job, her boys are happy and she still takes Virtual Yoga Classes with my yoga studio. It's not even a year later. It's nine (9) months later and she was settled MONTHS AGO!

Don't tell me you can't do it, whatever it is. You can do whatever you want. I have been the single mother as well cutting grass at a golf course so I could make my daughter's private school tuition payment. I wanted her to go to a certain school and I did what I had to do to make it happen. Sometimes you have to get RADICAL AND CRAZY to make things roll out for you the way you want. You can do that without breaking rules, law, guidelines and regulations. You do not have to tip over cars and light businesses on fire. Uranus in Taurus wants you to stampede and get a moooo-ve on, but no one needs to get trampled under your foot.

Uranus in Taurus wants you to be innovative and inventive to make more money, yet maintain stability. So stop buying nonsense when utilities are due as Saturn rules utilities. Saturn carries the motto, "I use therefore I am". Saturn is 'the utilitarian' of the zodiac. As someone who has Saturn in Capricorn, this is why I call myself a 'utilitarian'. I do not not like collectibles because they don't do anything but sit there and collect dust. I cannot 'use' a collectible, so I collect nothing. During Saturn square Uranus, buying silly stuff that has no 'use' will only get you in hot water. I suspect utilities are going be having a tough time during this square as well. We are already seeing power outages all over the place. I'm telling you, this square will REQUIRE you to be prepared. You might not want to use all of your firewood right now in case the power goes out.

In fact, my yoga studio is on 'virtual only' this week so that the teachers and the yogi's do not have to come out in this bitter cold. We offer virtual anyway no matter what. So I have been teaching from home as well. I have had a fire going in the fireplace and then this morning I had the awareness not to build a fire today. I decided to stay in my office (at home) and close the door with my little heater. I'm all snuggled up in my home office. So since the country is experiencing so many power outages, then if that occurs in this area, we will have plenty of firewood. See that is the nature of Saturn, especially Saturn in Capricorn, but Saturn in Aquarius is just as Good because Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius. Conserve folks.

While Aquarius is certainly progressive and future thinking, it is a very conservative sign. I'm not talking politically but it often shows up that way for many Aquarian's, of course not all, but many. Aquarius can embrace the future and always 'doing better' because that is 'progress' and being 'progressive'. I have Jupiter in Aquarius natally and I always say that I want, "Bigger, better and more of all that is Good." Progressive does not always mean Good or that you are doing better. I slice the 'ive' off of progressive and keep the progress.

Remember, Uranus tells us that circumstances will change in an instant, as fast as lightning strikes. Uranus is a sudden change-in circumstances. Saturn in Aquarius wants you to be stable, yet rebellious. Aquarius is a rebel by nature, and remember Uranus and Saturn are its natural ruling planets. Things seem weird but they work. You can be BRAVE AND CRAZY without tipping over the apple cart and losing all of your ingredients to make a pie.

The tough interpretation of this aspect is that it can feel like no matter what you seem to be working toward, there seems to be an opposing force that just won't let that change occur. You will have to work to overcome a feeling of inadequacy about your abilities.

You may have trouble with authority figures and will need to learn to compromise. Saturn rules authority figures and those in high places of authority. When you can learn to live without breaking rules to get ahead, then you will succeed, particularly in large organizations, groups or within the masses. This is because Aquarius rules THE MASSES and socializing and social media.

There is a conflict here between the desire to be original, unique and independent, and the conservative restraints that appear to prevent from being yourself, that press you to conform and be like everyone else. Are you or can you be daring enough to unleash your own thoughts without repeating what you hear and see? Do you have any thoughts of your own? This aspect reminds me of this quote from the movie, 'Good Will Hunting' once of my favorite movies of all time.

So before you start regurgitating, which is an ability done by cows (Taurus) when she is regurgitating her bolus (ball) of food to rechew and reswallow . . think for yourself and act on your own ideas, thoughts and desires. The Universe will support you as along as you are original. If you are not original, you might find yourself in an embarrassing situation. Self-expression means EVERYTHING right now. It is important that you maintain constancy to purpose.

Maintaining a consistent sense of purpose can be difficult to achieve during this aspect as again, it seems like something keeps trying to prevent you from being successful. But alas, there will be those who will be successful. There always will be those who break through the barriers. Why? Because they don't know how to stop. They don't know how to conform or be like everyone else. Their commitment to themselves is stronger than their commitment to be like someone else.

During this time there will be a strong urge to maintain that status quo, instead of moving beyond where you are. Maybe you are having a hard time, then all the more reason to push forward. If you do not push forward in your own uniqueness then you will be caught up with the status quo and Life will look the same three (3) months from now, six (6) months from now and one (1) year from now and you will not have progressed forward one single bit. You might find yourself between a rock and a hard place of alternating periods of seeking to preserve the status quo, and your willingness to risk everything by radical and disruptive actions.

Fakebook and other social media giants have really pissed me off with their censorship, but not near as much as those who cannot see it, ignore it, support it or are unbothered by it. Because of Fakebooks and other social media giants, this has caused me to become more creative in a subtle way. I would have probably never thought of what I am preparing to do had it NOT been for Fakebook and their censorship 'shut-the-people-up' policies. And the fact that so many people are okay with it is just mind-boggling to me.

This aspect of Saturn square Uranus urges you to get REBELLIOUS, BRAVE AND CRAZY while rolling the dice on yourself and without breaking any rules, laws, regulations or guidelines. You can overcome tyranny, censorship and oppression by thinking for yourself instead of rattling off FAKE NEWS bytes.

Before I sign-off on today's horoscope, I want to remind you about authority and what it morphs into as it gets bigger and bigger. I want to take you through a little visual to remind you of what abuse of authority looks like and how you can use Saturn square Uranus to make your changes.

When you think back on your Life, recall THE MOST abusive character you personally know. Who was that person? Was it a parent, a sibling, a neighbor, an uncle, a grandparent, a teacher, a principal, a priest, a pastor, a friend, a boyfriend, a husband, a wife, a child, a step-child, a step-sibling, a step-parent, a babysitter? Who was that person who abused their authority over you or someone you know? In whatever form that looked like - emotional, financial, mental, physical, sexual? Who was it that exercised abusive authority over you no matter how subtle or how big it was? Abusive authority includes 'control'. Their abuse of authority was to control you or manipulate you in some form. Who was that person? Do not act like you do not personally know a person who abuses their authority or seeks to manipulate or control another person, if not you. This is a person you know.

Now if this is a person you personally know, then imagine for a moment, that there is a person who is just one rung or level up in authority from that person who seeks to control and manipulate those under them. This individual on the next rung up the ladder has more people under them to control and manipulate. Is this a boss? A landlord? Who is this?

Now imagine someone who is one rung higher on the ladder than seeks to control those just underneath them. Is this a community leader? An organizational leader? Who is this that you know abuses their power over a group of people in a community, business or small town level? Those in a position of authority seek to maintain their authority, grip and hold over those who have no power or authority.

Now shift this thinking to an even higher level. Is this a board member? A town council? A mayor? Maybe it is now a Governor? Who is bending the rules for themselves and instilling more rules for you? Do not think that abuse of authority ends with the people that you know personally. The higher the level of authority, the more people under that helm and the more turned-on the authority figure becomes with having so much power.

You can keep dialing up and moving up the rung of the ladder with authority figures as they become more and more corrupt and entitled. Consider that the goal is to keep you conforming and staying at the same. If you believe that the authority-figure-abuser-controller-manipulator simply stopped at your personal rung is ludicrous. These authority figures just get stronger with each tier as you move up the ladder. Whether you choose to see is your own business. And if you are being asked to conform or if you have rights taken away from you, then you my dear Astrotators have been had!

I hope and pray to God that everyone can see this aspect for what it is (Saturn square Uranus), which is an opportunity to use your ingenuity and originality (Uranus) to structure your Life in such a way (Saturn) that you call the shots. You say - who, what, when, where, why, how long and how much.

When you have someone, anyone, telling you to dial yourself down and be less than, then folks we have a problem. When you have social media dialing you down and censoring you because it does not like what you have to say, then folks we have a problem. I believe in FREE SPEECH so much that I believe we should hear from those who engage in hate speech. You don't have to buy what they say. After all, if you buy it, then you own it.

I believe in FREE SPEECH so much that I want to know who is using the words that make us cringe. LET THEM SPEAK! If you do not let these hateful people speak and you are set on silencing them, then we do not know who these people are! I want to know who uses the - N, R, C, etc. words. You shut them down because of your hurt feelings, then you have put a second mask on them and they are unidentifiable. GREAT! There's your two (2) masks people!

I hope the heck people RISE UP and BECOME your God-given speak-up-able original selves. Be the person you always wanted to be. Fakebook has become so hateful in management by censoring that if it wasn't for them being such asses, then I would probably not have thought to head in the direction that I am headed. 'Cause F them! AND I will absolutely 'use' them to get my goal accomplished. Because guess what, "I use therefore I am" (Saturn and Moon in Capricorn)

Be yourself my dear Astrotators. Be every single drop of you. DO everything you can NOT TO BE in the same place 3, 6, 9 or 12 months from now. I have no intention of being where I am three (3) months from now, I plan on being beyond there in all ways that are Good. BE BRAVE AND CRAZY WITH ME! Saturn square Uranus can cause you to be sensitive to perceived limitations, which can also cause you to rebel and react violently against those limitations. Hey, there is no need for that! You can rebel without destroying yourself or anything around you. Remember, Saturn requires you to be mature, stable, responsible and disciplined. Saturn will hold you accountable. There is no need to get yourself into trouble. You can do this without breaking rules, regulations, law and guidelines. Okay, so you might get called out, by the Chief of Staff, stand there and take it because you are BRAVE AND CRAZY and then get back out there and be yourself.

NEVER allow anyone to steal, rob, confuse or disrupt your freedom. Your freedom is yours and it is a God-given right! The U.S. Constitution is supposed to protect your Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Stand up for it, so it will stand up for you. Game on! Great personal self-control is needed to bring the best that this aspect offers - when 'usefully' employed it can provide the means to stabilize explosive environments as well as conquer and destroy destructive and inhibitive situations.

Personal and professional growth is huge with this aspect. If you choose FIXED .... then fixed it is. While the MUTABLE signs will have the easier route during this aspect - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces . . you can absolutely take a page out of their playbook. And remember, EVERYONE has this aspect in their 2021 Solar Return, while some will also have it in two (2) Solar Returns 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 ... or 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
