The BIG NEWS today is Mercury moves out of Capricorn into Sagittarius, which means it is going backward in 'signs'. This is due to the fact that Mercury is Retrograde, so he is on repeat mode, meaning repeating the degrees he was just in. If you take an itty-bitty moment and let your eyeballs roll over the Mercury in Capricorn Transiting Degree Calendar (Astro Meme below), you will see Mercury re-enter Sagittarius on today's date.

Notice how the Mercury in Capricorn Transiting Degree Calendar begins with Mercury in Sagittarius. This is because I want you to get the visual on where Mercury is returning 'to'. On January 1, 2024 Mercury will turn Direct in Sagittarius at 22 degrees. Well son-of-a-biscuit-eater! That is the degree and sign that Mercury was in on November 25, 2023 which is the beginning of this calendar. SO 22 DEGREES is the magic number. This Mercury Retrograde is taking us back to 22 degrees Sagittarius. Think back to November 25, 2023. Why is the Universe taking you back to November 25, 2023 where you are on repeat? We are in do-over, repeat, whad'ja say, come again, huh, re-do, ditto, reiterate, is there an echo out there mode. Read that sentence again just to hammer down REPEAT!

So before you get all dramatic and needy for attention during the retrograde of any planet, it is more important to think of these retrogrades as cleaning up your messes and getting your act together before progressing forward. It is not the time to start new things or buy new things under the 'subject matter' of the planet (and sign) involved, more importantly the planet.

For instance, Mercury rules communication and transportation (3rd house Gemini stuff). But Mercury also rules physical health, activities of daily living (ADLs), daily routine, daily grind, daily habits, health, nutrition and Lifestyle (6th house Virgo stuff). This is because Mercury is the co-ruler of both signs. Mercury ruling Gemini gets more attention during Mercury Retrograde, but it's important to remember that Mercury also rules Virgo just as much, so your physical health and ADLs need to get back on track. This is the time to do it.

This is also NOT the time to buy new things that are represented by the planets, namely new automobiles, new gadgetry, new electrical devices, or get health assessments, elective surgery, or sign important paperwork and documents. Okay, even as an Astrologer my ENTIRE adult Life, which is now over 40 years, because I'm 62 years old, even I get caught in the web of retrograde-ugggh. I knew the date of Christmas just like you did. I had all year to plan, but I didn't know a couple of things on a couple of Christmas lists until after Mercury turned Retrograde and those things require a plug, meaning electricity. That violates the Mercury Retrograde cardinal rule of buying.

What's an Astrologer to do in that case? I could wait until after Christmas, which I have NO PROBLEM doing because my peeps know how I am, but I went ahead and bought the 3-year extended warranty for $15 or $20 for the peace of mind. So if the gift goes haywire over the next 3 years, it is replaced no questions asked, which is totally worth it for the gift in question.

One last thing, while Mercury is Retrograde and Mercury rules advertising, I need to say the following. I realize you are seeing ads on this site and you don't want to. Sorry, not sorry, you will just have to swallow that pill and deal with it. I have the confidence to know that my work is worth it, the content is pure, it is written with Love and Good intention, and it is invaluable information.

I also want you to make sense out of God's Positioning System, which is the real GPS that has been high-jacked by man's GPS (Global Positioning System).

Along with so many other things in Life these days, you have been tricked, manipulated and deceived into thinking God's Map doesn't matter and that's it's wrong to follow it. IT'S GOD'S MAP for Goodness sake. The three (3) followed God's Positioning System, not a map on their smart phone that man created and renamed from God to Global.

I do NOT read other Astrologer's work, at all. Not even a little bit. Curiosity does not get the best of me. I care what falls out of my brain, no one else's. I am in my lane and I stay there. I believe my understanding of Astrology and the writing of it comes from Spirit. I believe I was born with a gift of understanding how it works. Somehow I just get it. I get the big picture and I live to write about it. I also pray about it. A LOT!

So back to the ads, I absolutely BELIEVE that I deserve to have my website financially supported (through ads) for the work that I do. I plop my butt down every single morning and give you my all. I dump my brain on you and let you have it. I literally unload my brain every single day without fail. I have been more than committed for 24 years on the internet, and at the level of work I produce on a daily basis, or over any period of time, is actually quite staggering. And I know it. It's not an ego thing, it's just a fact.

No one has to tell me or remind me of what I do, but I believe I need to remind my viewers every now and then of what I do. I don't need the applause, ovation, or pat-on-the-back, as I will still do this tomorrow whether you like me or not, or read it or not. I will be here. I will write.

Still, I am person who has high self-worth. Low self-worth is not a chip that I carry on my shoulder. I do this work because I feel called and compelled to do it, as it was 'Intended' to be delivered. I still see nothing wrong with having my work financially supported with what is actually very few ads. Other than a full page ad you might have to 'x' out of, or a 5 second video that pops up, there are no ads blocking the content or drawing you away from the writing.

If watching a 5 second video rubs you the wrong way, or if a full page ad appears that you just can't bear to read for a few seconds, then just know that it actually takes LOTS OF SECONDS to create the the half-pennies, that add up to one dang dime, that eventually leads to a dollar! And if there is no click-through on the ad for a certain amount of seconds, then it's no pay day for ol' Dr. Standley.

Before you decide to turn disgusted on ads that we ORIGINAL CONTENT CREATORS are using to support our work, you might want to think twice about what you believe you deserve or what you believe you are owed because the majority of my work is FREE, just like those on YouTube. And man, the YouTubers really bust their ass for a buck. I mean REALLY! They have so many rules to stay monetized IT'S INSANE.

Do your favorite YouTube channels a favor when a commercial comes up. Go to the restroom and let the commercial play through to the end. IT MATTERS folks. The pennies are better for them to the end of the video than when you click out right away. Just go get another cup of coffee or do something to let the commercial play to the end. Also, when you leave a video before it is finished, that matters too. Let their video finish. YouTube has the YouTube channel creators really dancin' for a buck. Puppetry at its finest.

I don't even send out newsletters or generate an email list to sell on the side. Oh ho ho ho - a lot of websites do! You bet your ass they do. Email lists are a HUGE BUSINESS.

I also do not do subscription services. That would just be more work to keep up with on delivering to subscribers. I actually have a cool Freedom Loving Life and I'd like to keep it that way. I LOVE my work and I have no intention on creating a Love-Hate relationship with it.

And here's the real kicker, I have a PINKISH NOTICE splattered across the top of my ad account that tells me I will lose ALL OF MY EUROPE AND UK ad-revenue if I don't comply with some new rules by January 1st. Then it turned to January 16th. You know, a little financial threat if I don't comply. Being threatened is not something that works on an individual like me. I do not fear being myself. So 'F' them!

Do I even need to mention that all of us ORIGINAL CONTENT CREATORS are having to deal with AI (artificial intelligence)?

So before you decide to complain about ads or think you deserve more from ORIGINAL CONTENT CREATORS like myself for FREE, please rethink 'your position' because while I do feel called and compelled to do this work, I also know that I don't have to do it. I am very clear about that. I don't have to accept this Mission in Life or carry this mantle, but I do.
