Golly! If there isn't enough angst in the air, we get handed another platter of splatter. On top of that, Mercury (communication) moves into Leo. Mercury in Leo is not so bad in and of itself, it purrs and it roars, BUT when mixed with the angst of energy that we are currently experiencing, the purring kitten is pretty much nowhere to be found and all we hear is a roaring lion with foul breath, stained teeth, a coated tongue and spit landing in our face. In my interpretation defense, let's look at the aspect that is also landing exact today as Mars in Aries squares Jupiter in Capricorn. This aspect began in 'applying' degrees on July 21, 2020 where it started coming into the picture and we could feel the energy approaching. It is exact today at 9:07 AM EDT. After it's exactness the two (2) planets will begin to move further apart as Mars is moving faster than Jupiter and the exact square will begin to separate. The energy of this aspect will last in 'separating' degrees until August 23, 2020. So you see Mercury in Leo, which is also landing exact today is right smack dab in the middle of this over-the-top and out-of-line energy. This aspect reminds me of pain. PAIN! It's hard to wrap your brain around pain once you let it get out of control. You feel the prodrome (early symptom) of pain coming on. You feel the headache, the backache or your Moon (menses) coming on with cramps, and if you don't get the pain handled when you first feel the prodrome, then the pain grows, it swells, it grips, it squeezes, it tightens and then you can't get the pain managed. You must take the pain pill before the pain gets out-of-control. But we get busy handling other things before we handle ourselves, and then our pain makes us crazy, mean and unfit to be around. That is exactly how Mars square Jupiter is . . or any tough aspect that is applying (approaching) its exactness and before it even thinks about separating and pulling apart.

Mars squaring Jupiter 'can be' incredibly explosive, destructive and war-like. Remember, Jupiter E-X-P-A-N-D-S whatever it touches and it is reaching out and touching Mars through an aggressive square poking you sharply in the ribs. This over-exaggerates Mars to the 'nth degree. This aspect is 'power hungry' and will absolutely, without a doubt, as sure as I'm sittin' here, attempt to gain control and power over someone else. It will ridicule, it will belittle, it will threaten, it will pull a gun and it will throw an emotional temper-tantrum. Keep in mind Jupiter is the higher-octave of the Moon and the Moon rules the emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities. Take it to the higher-octave and you have Jupiter. Then set Jupiter right up against Mars and it will e-x-p-a-n-d whatever it touches. This aspect feeds itself. It feeds its mouth, its belly, its gut, its ego and its bank account. And all of that to impress others. Why else? This aspect wants others to know how tough it is, how wealthy it is, how flamboyant it is and how it has everything handled, when really its world is getting turned upside down. If you are single and this is in your 2020 Solar Return. Stay single! Work on yourself because God only knows, you will be working on others . . more like working them over with a cast iron frying pan.

Listen to everyone speaking and how it is being spoken. There will be self-aggrandizement and/or self-ingratiating behavior. Self-promotion with be huge with this aspect. This 'can be' really great energy promoting yourself when channeled appropriately, but when channeled inappropriately, it can end up delivering a whole lot of nothin'.

Mars is the warrior planet and will take war any way it can get it, even if it has to stir up an argument or hot debate just to get the energy ignited. As an astrotator, how about you sit back and watch the pattern play itself out rather than step into that pile of you know what. The temptation is on you, but remember, I warned you. You might say, "I don't care, it needed to be said." That's on you, but you will end up back-pedaling as you attempt to get out of the mess you created.

Watch your attraction to violence or anything that promotes war, fighting, bickering and the like. Including shows that have people arguing in front of a judge. Damn, how do people watch bickering.

That rattling of voices. I can't it! This aspect is lookin' for a fight and it will find it. Watch you tendency to call and complain. Check your conversation and play it out before you make the call. If you want to argue and fight and stir some sh--, then wait until you are alone and then go into the bathroom and scream all the BS you want into the toilet. I'M SERIOUS! Get on your knees (humble yourself) and scream into the toilet until you are crying and breathless. GET IT OUT OF YOU! Then get up and wash your face and the next time you need to puke up ugliness, head to the toilet. I'm doing my best to give you a visual here. Is it working? It's better out than in, and in this case, it's better to put that load of sh-- that comes out of your mouth into the toilet.

This is also a fight that occurs on some sort of social level. This is because Jupiter rules the 9th house of religion, philosophy and the higher thinking mind. This aspect is the religious fanatic who is hell bent on a crusade (war). This aspect is most definitely controversial. If you are not of the religious type, then its best to understand that your disdain or discomfort with religion does not mean that others cannot speak of their Love for it. It goes both ways. Who's judging who? I consider myself both spiritual and religious, with the two (2) not necessarily meaning the same. I'm a hard-core Jesus-Lovin-Loud-and-Proud-Christian. And I like the way I present my religious beliefs through the Spiritual Progression Path on this website. I've been writing 'The Spiritual Progression Path' for 20 years. I don't need to argue with people about it. I state what I want to state and leave it at that. And the next day I do it all over again. If it lands with some people, great! If it doesn't land, I do it again tomorrow. But I don't argue about it. Well this aspect wants to argue about it and will keep pressing until it has a fight or war on its hands.

Mars squaring Jupiter also benefits financially through war, destruction or violence. This could be anything from selling guns or weapons (legally or illegally) to providing bandages for the injured. Since Mars is actually the ancient ruler of Scorpio, which is a financial Sun Sign ruling other people's money, it is also the most resourceful sign as well and does not like waste. This makes it a real possibility to waste resources, especially financial resources. Too much of a Good thing . . isn't.

Mars square Jupiter is extreme at its minimum, and it is even more extreme at its extreme. This aspect can lead to ruin in those who are severely out of control and need a cold hard lesson in get-your-act-together. How about a little gratitude? This aspect has a tendency to gamble at very high stakes. You may not know when to quit. And this might have absolutely nothing to do with gambling, but yet you take a gamble with your resources, your relationship, your everything. Moderation has to be learned with this aspect because it is not a natural trait to moderate oneself with this aspect present.

If this aspect is in your 2020 Solar Return, you will need to find time to chill out over and over and over again. Drink cold drinks and I would not advise that they are cocktails. Get a grip and handle Life without sucking down a drink. This aspect will require that you develop self-discipline because impulsiveness will keep you from reaching your goals.

Women will have trouble with men because Mars is testosterone in the chart and Jupiter is the higher octave of the Moon (the mother). Men who have mommy issues will have trouble with women because there will be a reflection on the female partner. The nutshell, Mars square Jupiter produces a hypocrite. OUCH! Again, check yourself before the Universe does it for you. I guarantee, that will hurt worse.
