Dear Dr. Standley I have recently separated from my husband, who use to drink excessively to the point that he became abusive and could not remember what he had said or done to me the day after. I have a 12 year old son who saw all this. (I have been married for 14 years and in total we have been together for the last 16 years until I left him last August). In the meantime I met someone who is also in a 'troubled marriage' with 2 children (14 and 12), and because of the children has prepared to tolerate the 'unhappy marriage' for the sake of the children (no love lost between them). Because of both our predicaments we became much closer and it is now 2 and a half years that we have made each other happy, and are happy to be in each other's company, but our circumstances do not permit us to be together. We have so much love for each other that we hope and pray that we will be given the chance to spend the rest of our life together, despite all the obstacles put in our path. I want to thank the Holy Spirit in advance, as I know he will answer our prayers, we just feel that we are 'soul mates' that need to be together, and we pray that we are forgiven by either party despite our circumstances. Please pray for my sister, her husband, and their family. That they may find peace of mind due to financial difficulties and love for each other. My very intelligent and musically gifted 19 year old son was stricken with schizoaffective disorder just a few months shy of his 18th birthday. He struggled with active psychosis through the next year and a quarter with several hospitalizations. He has been on a great path to recovery since April 2010 through the miracles of injectable medication and faith. Please pray for his continued recovery - he has enrolled back into college - (failed first two semesters as he was unable to read even one page but was able to pass an art class this past summer). I am so very grateful that he appears to be on the mend.

Our prayer Dr. Standley is for our son he heading off to start a new transion in his life he is going to collage away from home he has Aspergers syndrome, ADHD and has had one episode of OCD and had quite a hard time with it. Please pray for my 14-year-old daughter. We are at the end of our rope. We do not know what to do for her anymore She has done so much before the age of 14 and her actions have affectedd her and our family. PLEASE, someone pray for us. He suddenly ended things without warning as I was moving across country to be with him full time. He intended to marry me this year and start a family. (I'm 39.) Please pray for his health. He is in a lot of pain and it causes him insomnia. He's also very stressed by his dissertation. And has had a lot of death around him lately. Please pray for him and his well- being.
